So glad wisenhunt is gone. peace out!

?
Did you watch the Chargers/Broncos game last night and ask yourself throughout the first 3 quarters "why are these idiots going with such conservative play calls and not letting Rivers throw?".  the answer is Ken Whisenhunt and he did it all year long

I know exactly why they were doing it -- because it's what was working on that great run to even get them to the playoffs in the first place. Mathews going down really hurt, but the gameplan was evident. They almost pulled off the comeback. I wouldn't use this one game as a huge indicator. McCoy just as easily could have had a big influence.

Whisenhunt has succeeded everywhere he's been. He also had a big role in helping get Rivers back to his produtive ways. I think once Tennesse finds their quarterback, they'll be alright.

Yea i totally understand the plan, but you gotta abort the game plan once you go down 7-0 or 14-0.  thats a gameplan that only works if its tied or you are winning.

And i honestly think Whisenhunt will do a lot better as a HC than he did as a offensive coordinator.  i don't wish the guy bad luck or anything like that, i'm just glad he isnt calling the plays for SD anymore

Abort your gameplan down 7 or 14? No one is aborting their gameplan down by 7 or 14 with 2 quarters left to play.

Loved Whiz in Pitt :smokin

Also really like what NE did last week with the run game. That will be huge against Denver

This is too timely after that discussion last week:

http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/8334/rob-ryan

Appearing on ESPN's NFL Insiders  Monday, Chris Mortensen reported Saints DC Rob Ryan's long hair is considered an impediment to landing a head-coaching job.

Mort's report is via "several NFL executives," including an owner. Although Ryan's flowing, silver locks are unusual for an NFL coach, we highly doubt it's the reason he's never risen to the ranks of head coach. The 2013 Saints are the first team Ryan's coordinated to reach the playoffs, while he's been with four clubs since 2008. Like his brother Rex, Rob is a strong defensive mind, but we expect him to be back as Sean Payton's coordinator for 2014. He hasn't been linked to any head-coaching vacancies.

...And dude was in here saying billionaires are all too smart to not hire someone because of their hair.  That guy should personally admit he was wrong and apologize, methinks.

You didn't provide any example of that happening, you just posed a question. Name a situation that knowingly a coach was hired over another coach because of physical attributes over the last lets say 15 yrs.
Hey Skip.  Got an example above.

Anybody wanna help me out on why Jim Caldwell aka the former most useless head coach I had ever seen is being offered more head coaching jobs?

I have no idea why that man is the leading candidate in any job. Hes a below average playcaller, he was called head coach of the Colts after Dungy left but we all know the Sheriff was the HC. He got out coached and embarrassed in SB 44 and was made a fool of. And has made poor decisions. One I remember was when the Colts were playing the Bucs on MNF and a bucs player (forgot his name at the moment) obviously fumbled and he didnt challenge. And also his clock management during that season in 2011 was atrocious. Without Peyton Manning that man was/has been lost. I know we were bad in 2011 without Peyton but not 2 wins bad. Oh well we got Luck. And to be honest, I dont think he did anything to take the Ravens offense to the next level in 2012. He just happened to be in the right place at the right time. Just because you made a Super Bowl appearance, doesn't mean you deserve a head coaching position. Do you see anyone giving Bill Callahan a call? Nope.

He's a nice man though. haha

If Detroit Hires Jim Caldwell

....I will be beyond livid. It's almost like we don't want to win. I just don't get it. Another year of Schwartz > Jim Caldwell. Any coach in the NFL > Jim Caldwell. It just makes zero sense. I don't get it. I feel like I'm in the beginning stages of a bad break up. I can't accept this

You should rally outside the Lions head quarters for Darrell Bevell

At least you're not the Browns, they're looking at Mike Munchak right now.

I seriously hate it when teams carousel between the same few coaches as if a change of scenery is the difference between where they were and where there at now. Even more frustrating when teams realize the mistake only to fire the coach after a season or two, at most. I'd be livid if my teams were considering some of these names being tossed around. It's almost like their being set up for mediocrity.

I mean unless a team is trying to draft Jameis Winston, as a fan I would be sick if I heard Caldwell is a finalist to lead my team.

Just like us hiring Jim Mora Jr.

Dudes work hard to try and prove me wrong  .... But if you look in that article it even states they don't execs are overlooking because of hair but more because of his history or lack there of in playoffs , so we still need proof. Back to your days and nights of research trying to prove me wrong

It doesn't say that though
