child, please. if the seahawks didnt play in the nfcw for the past decade, the 12th man wouldve been in the cellar just as much as us.

I rarely use this saying mainly because I don't know how to use it appropriately but I know I cant go wrong. seahawks fans trying to imply that niners' fans have selective memory is some "pot calling the kettle black" type ****

but whatever, three straight NFCC for the niners...I aint worried about this sunday.
So if ya'll did it, why can't the Raiders?

any team can be turned around in less than 5 years with Good Drafts & smart FA signings

Seahawks went from 5-11 to 11-5 after 2 seasons
Raiders could easily do it too

every year there is a team that goes from worst to first in their division.

but that will never be the Raiders

Not to bash 'em but the Raiders just seem cursed. All those high draft picks and almost nothing to show for it. Every year we watch bad teams turn it around and get better but the Raiders are always stuck in the same spot.

The Browns are another mess. Who wants to go a team that just fired somebody after 1 year? They might end up hiring some dude we've never of who's just happy to say he's a head coach.

Raiders would probably be better served as an expansion team. Not even lying and not trying to hate. It just seems like year after year they tangle themselves in a web of bad decisions and bad play.

That was definitely true of the last 20-25 years of Al Davis' ownership. I don't think it's true of this current regime, but we'll have a much better idea of this after the coming season when they've finally had a chance to make a serious impact on the roster.

You're probably right, but the decisions have to be so right these days in order to get back to being a true competitor that any wrong move can just further tangle the web they're trying to untangle.

I don't know what I'm talking about with all these webs, but it makes sense in my mind.

Essentially, they just better hope to hit on their next few years' drafts and not give out any stupid contracts to overrated players.

The person who is our GM came from Green Bay's front office, and has been consistent with the media about maintaining a firm grasp over the salary cap and managing contracts appropriately. I think some people still feel that the Raiders are in the business of handing out enormous contracts to big names free agents. Given what Reggie McKenzie has said the past three years, I wouldn't expect him to blow a lot of money on two-three players and call it a day. He'll look for impact players and resigning players on our roster that are worth keeping.

And can my man Rob Ryan get a head coaching job? Yeah he looks like a overweight version of The Dude but he can coach.

Firing Dennis Allen would have been a good place to start for the new regime...

He's had nothing to work with, and everyone knows it. Firing him would have convinced people that the Raiders were still firing coaches every couple years for not making chicken **** into chicken salad (or however that saying goes ).

The only problem is that our GM, is a complete loon.

If he didn't have a GM gig, I don't know what the hell he would be doing. Grown man walking around in swishy pants constantly, he's a bit of a joke around the inner workings of the league.

I am frustrated, but so frustrated that I have talked myself into him being such a maniac that he'll figure out something genius (I hope some of that makes sense lol)

He was letting teams come in and just poop all over his team without even putting up a fight though

His name is always brought up by people when this time of year comes around and you always seem to hear he's a great D-coordinator. The issue with his hair is nonsense. What has he really done to garner serious looks for HC? His last name?

I was shocked when I heard the the announcer the other weekend say that this year with the Saints was his first in the playoffs as a coach. Red flag right there. We can get into not having the personnel and what not, but never in the playoffs? I just don't know. I haven't looked into this much at all, but I started raising my own questions after I heard that.

He was in Green Bay's front office inner circle for a long time, I don't think you get there being dumb. Let's see what he does now that he doesn't have handcuffs in regards to attracting talent.

He's not the one jumping offsides or sailing passes or dropping balls or not getting to the QB or fumbling the ball. He can only put the players he's given in a position to win, the team still has to do their part. He deserves another year with a team that he and Reggie put together, not having to work with players that were worthless even when they were picked by Al.

whoa whoa let's not get carried away here. rome wasn't built in a day

its true though! Chiefs were 2-14 in 2012 and made the Playoffs in 2013

not saying its going to happen but to sit here and say it wont when its happened before

Chiefs had so much talent waiting for Andy Reid it was a joke. Same with the Nines when Singletary left and Harbaugh came in.

Raiders have nowhere near the talent that those two teams did when they got their coaches.
