Hernandez is gonna end up being sentenced to like 8,540 years

or he'll be back in New England next season.

Another thing that recently happened in the Hernandez case is the star witness of the prosecution has been discredited so he won't testify...

On another note, CBS will air 8 Thursday night games next year. I think they will simulcast them with the NFL network...
 
That means twice as many games? Or just that they'll be carried by both networks?

I will never watch CBS instead of NFL.
 
Question for all of you guys.....

Why do people continue to post about topics that have specific threads already on NT?  I guess I personally dont like threads that are thousands of pages long, especially when topics being discussed in them already have their own topics.

For example, I think it is ridiculous that there was so much conversation about the Superbowl during the game when there was a Superbowl thread.  And likewise, I dont understand why people flock here to talk about Aaron Hernandez or Martin/Incognito, when there are dedicated threads to those topics.

Just curious.

well technically the season is over
so i think its fair game
 
^That is the title. Just paying respects to the Hawks for about a month. That's not the issue at all.

You are both missing the point here.  My question is why do people feel the need to discuss EVERYthing related to football in some way here, when there are specific threads made to discuss specific topics?

I mean, if everyone wants to discuss everything that is football related in here, fine.  But if thats the case, it makes no sense why we have dedicated threads.  We wouldnt need a huge message board.  We would just need one thread per sport and call it a day.
 
I prefer to come in here to read NTs daily stupidity vs going to the specific threads.

Just my preference.

Dland: Me and you and many others are on NT daily...We pretty much know which threads exist and which don't. I think casual posters may either forget or can't find a thread because it's not on the first page, so they just post in here.

There's also discussions that go off on a tangent and end up being about, for example, quarterbacks. Then everyone wants to get their words in and be seen by who they are directing towards so they keep it in this thread as opposed to moving to the QB thread.

Some of the game threads were ignored to avoid all the homers and their biases.

And then there's that. Lots of people just like to the ease of going to one thread and seein all the information in there as opposed to having to switch threads or find a thread.

Nah I was talking about taking the word "Season" out is all. I actually prefer coming to this one thread to discuss everything too.

Guess it's all about preferences...
 
Thats a fair point about casual posters 651.  What I dont agree with is the convenience of going to one thread and seeing all the information.  Like, if someone wanted to talk about Aaron Hernandez, it would be easier to find that thread, than search through page after page of the NFL discussion thread to do so. 

Nawghtyhare.....you didnt start anything.  Its all good.  It was just something I was really curious about.
