sorry I am not sold on Kaep; he played a good game against Carolina but he was inconsistent ALL year

Dude is pretty damn good  No one can see him with his legs and he will continue to grow as a passer.

Superbowl last year , a TD away from the Superbowl this year. How can you not be sold? Hes obviously putting in work.

How will he continue to get better as a passer? statements like this make no sense to me

he needs to make smarter decisions before he gets better as a passer

I am really curious to know why some people feel that Kaeperninck needed a "humbling."  Why does everyone feel that he has this out of control ego?  Dude is the first player at the 49ers facility every day and the last to leave.  Last offseason he took all of 1 week off after the Superbowl and it was straight to work.

Does the Dolphins hat thing really bother you that much?  (note: he is not the first player to ever catch heat for wearing another team's hat)

Does him being in a ton of commercials really bother you that much?

Dude has always been a humble player.  He just like flashy things.  As a player, he is far from the egotistical animal that you all make him out to be.

Not egotistical? Did he not mock Cam after scoring a touchdown? What was that all about?

Because hes in his second year

He has a good 10+ years ahead of him if he stays healthy. People in the NFL get coached up. He will learn to read defenses better as he progresses as a professional. Etc

i think what people are a little turned off with kaep is that he isnt that great with the media. he doesnt take it seriously or cares. even the local stations say he rather not do interviews or postgames but he does love the attention.

So one endzone celebration and now he is egotistical?  OK dude.  You act as if there has never been a player to do another player's endzone celebration.  Where you and others blasting all of the guys who did the Aaron Rodgers championship belt thing when they were playing the Packers?  What about all the players who kiss their bicep when they sack Kap?  I dont follow you around NT, but I'd be willing to bet large amounts of money you were sitting on your hands when those type of celebrations happened.

you have the talent you have; you don't get better as a passer or Tebow would at least be a back up in the league

he looks at 1 receiver and that's it; he needs to learn how to read the field more than anything

Second year as a starter and i understand he still has those tendencies, and thats what i mean by getting better at reading defenses as he gets older. He can interpret what he's seeing better and adjust his reads . Hes going to get a feel for how defenses react to certain sets. The idea that he wont get any better moving forward is asinine. Even IF he didnt get better, hes already the best athlete playing QB in the NFL and is already a super bowl type quarterback.

3rd year, he still shows tendencies to 1 read and dip.
So you are going to count the year he sat on the bench for every play, and the year that he sat for half of the games as years played?  Sounds legit.

I have no problem with Kaeps attitude at all. He's not arrogant. People just don't like his style. Silly.

A big step back?

I'm pretty sure he had his team 1 play away from returning to the SB and he had pretty dominant performances this post season... Each 2nd year starter took a step back, even Luck,

sorry I am not sold on Kaep; he played a good game against Carolina but he was inconsistent ALL year

Here we go with the Monday morning prognosticators :smh:
Dude was the hottest QB down the stretch. Played great ball during the 8 game winning streak. Just with Kaep....you always hold your breath when he makes a play...Good or bad.

people dont believe in gamesmanship anymore? I think hardy kaepernicked when he sacked him in sf earlier this season..kaep just returning the favor

it's silly, but as a fanbase, you gotta love it. I'd go as far as saying thay whatever richard sherman said after the game about crabtree, I aint even mad or salty. that man deserves to get his shine on after making that play. these are some grown *** men getting paid millions of dollars. post game comments and gestures shouldn't be hurting their feelings

When was he the hottest QB down the stretch? I don't recall this

You call mocking another player on his home turf not egotistical? My whole point is you make Kaep out to be this innocent humble guy. He has emotions just like everybody else out on that field.

bruh, read my post above. no one's saying kaep is some innocent guy...the man is just having fun out there. same as cam when he celebrates

the only 2nd year qb that took a step back was rg3, luck and wilson had better years then their 1st and took their teams further in the playoffs then they did last year.

Step back was the wrong phrase to use, I took it from his quote. I'll say that they each had bumps in the road as far as performance goes (Kaep early, Russy late.)

As a Hawaii fan I can't say Ive ever liked Kaepernick, but its obvious everyone is just waiting for him to fail so they can jump on dude.

I would say Harbaugh had a poor game plan honestly. And they still almost won.

Could care less what Sherms did last night post game, personally wouldn't do it ... but he sure will look like a fool if Peyton has success against him and his secondary. To me its stupid on his part, a little smack talk is cool but he basically set a target on his back. Essentially he is making himself a target so now if he ever has a down game or if they lose the superbowl the media is going to turn it to "where is the talking now?" and he's not gonna be able to say anything when or if he sees the confetti coming down on Peyton and co.

Yes, cause him sitting on the bench he's still learning, he's sitting in that classroom and learn, and in practice as well.

Let not split hairs, cause when the dudes on fire you can't tell 49ers fans nothing, now it's he's only been a starter for 1 1/2 years

By this logic, if Tom Brady has a career ending injury halfway through the 2014 season, and Mallet is the full time starter in 2015....you would view Mallet as a 5th year NFL vet?

Wut.

Are you seriously debating if Kap has been in the NFL for 3 years?

Had no idea that it you aren't starting you aren't in the NFL.

:rolleyes

I swear

Dudes argue just to argue on here, it's so silly

Someone claimed that he still is young with growth to make, and he will learn to read defenses better and will progress as a quarterback.....to which you responded with something to the effect of "he is in his 3rd year, yet he still reads the field like a 1st year player" or something to that effect.

So no, I am not debating if he has been in the NFL for 3 years.  But 3 years or not, he is still only in his first full season as a starter.  Which is all anyone was trying to say.  Being in the league and riding pine for half of 3 years is NOT the same thing as getting 3 years of game experience.

But I am sure you will come up with some bs response that doesnt even address what I or the other poster was saying.  Your hatred for the 49ers runs too deep for you to have a rational conversation about us.  @Chester McFloppy's and @Deuce King's comments must really have hit a nerve for you to continue to hate the way you do.

Aaron Rodgers did alright his first year being the full time starter after riding the bench a couple. Not comparing the two just saying sitting on the bench gaining knowledge isn't a bad thing and you can get better by doing so.
