Hahaha, that's so damn stupid. Comparing ripping sheets of paper to knee ligaments...I can see a similarity :smh:

I hope Bowman has a full recovery because he's been one of the best LBs to watch these past few years.

I always liked Colin on Sports Nation, he was comedy.

I definitely hope so too, I'm a Seahawks fan, but I enjoy watching the front seven for the Niners. :smokin

Anyone able to briefly describe the state of the Broncos? Haven't been really eyeing them, so don't quite know the dynamics of their defense.

I know its gonna be a chess match between Manning and the Seahawks secondary, but what about the other side....

Miller and Harris are out for the season so the defense has basically had to play above their talent level but with two weeks to prepare; I would think they are going to prep to stop Lynch and make RW beat them.
 
I've been sick so I've been in the bed just watching TV all day. The old pro bowl skills competition have been NFL Network.

This dude Darrell Green ran a 4.36 at 43 years old
 
Considering the Broncos secondary was getting torched by Julian Edelman and Austin Collie... they could be in for a rude awakening.

All the Seahawks need to do is watch the Colts/Broncos game to figure out how to stop this team. Put a body on each receiver and jam their timing at the line. Make Peyton stand in the pocket just one or two seconds longer than he wants to, and you'll have success.

Seattle has been gashed by small receivers all year, so Caldwell/Welker could have decent games against this secondary. Decker against WTIII is gonna be hella interesting, too.

One could argue that the loss of Vickerson and Wolfe has had more of an impact on the defense simply because of depth. If you remember late in the game on the drive where Brady walked it into the endzone, Unrein and Phillips got dinged up and had to leave the field for the rest of the series which forced them to rush only 3 or 2 guys. Pot Roast and Sly Williams are the ones that have keyed the defensive "resurgence" over the last month.

Not having Von out there caps the ceiling on how good the defense can be, no doubt, but there have been enough bodies for the LB corps to not miss a beat. Credit JDR for recognizing the limitations of those guys and allowing them to play to their strengths (Lenon on rush downs, Woodyard on passing downs). Trevathan has been the only constant because he's proved himself capable of defending both equally well.

The secondary, as has been the case all season, is a question mark outside of DRC. Champ turned in a nice performance on Sunday but it's anyone's guess if he'll be able to replicate that against a QB who is able to buy his receivers time to get open due to his mobility. Nacho is still young and inexperienced and thus prone to mistakes in how he reads opposing QBs.  Mike Adams is the starting FS in name only.

However, I think if we're talking about the matchup to watch as far as Seattle's offense vs. Denver's defense goes it will be the front 7 of the Broncos and how they deal with the physical style of ball that Seattle likes to play on offense. If they're getting handled up on the line and it requires sending one or two guys on blitzes to get pressure on the QB then I believe RW will be smart enough to pick them apart underneath to open it up for a couple of shots deep down the field.
 
People might be overlooking the Denver rushing offense in the game, too. Seattle has been stout, but this year they gave up:

86 yards on 17 carries to DeAngelo Williams. (away game)
102 yards + 44 yards to Arian Foster and Ben Tate. (away game)
56 yards :wow: + 37 yards to Trent Richardson and Donald Brown. (away game)
134 yards to Zac Stacy. (away game)
158 yards to Mike James. (home game)
110 yards to Frank Gore (away game + he had one big run)
57 and 44 yards to Khiry Robinson and Mark Ingram (home game)

We've seen Ball and Moreno's ability to pick up huge chunks of yardage. Could be the difference Denver needs, esp. if the weather sucks.
