Doug Baldwin and Golden Tate definitely being considered elite receivers 3 years ago...

Again, WHO in this thread has said ANYTHING about Russ's receivers?

Where have you seen ANY hype about the receivers that Wilson throws to? Show me where. Show them to me.

Can you Seattle people read, or what the ****?

I just can't see RW doing the same thing he does in Seattle with Donald Brown, Trent Richardson, TY Hilton, Fleener, etc

I think it's just such a stupid argument to have that I hate addressing it  no one knows what the hell either one of them would do. Who is to say that Russell going up against Jax/Hou/Ten instead of SF/AZ/STL doesn't inflate his numbers a bit more along with 8 games in a dome? Who is to say that Luck plays outdoors for 8 games in the PNW and faces SF/AZ/STL and struggles? It's such an idiotic comparison to make just because they're in the same draft class.

One guy is living up to his hype and one guy is proving he should have been a first round pick. Both are playing phenomenal and leading their teams to the upper echelon of the league. Isn't it enough to just sit back and enjoy it rather than bicker like a bunch of broads about it every couple of weeks?

These A - B comparisons should be left to the dopes who never let it go in the NBA thread.

dont worry..

the seahawks can just sign or trade for a vikings wr (cordarrelle patterson?) after he suffers some sort of hip injury

HAHAHAHA i love this! we all know if andrew luck was in a seattle jersey and not a colts that all these seahawks fans would say he is the best! it's a bias opinion with them, luck is the better qb no doubt about it. the difference between the 2 is luck makes his team better, while russell wilsons team makes him better. if you plug in any other qb in the league (even dalton) the seahawks are going to be exactly where they are right now same amount of wins and 1 seed in the nfc...

Right Wilson got drafted to a team with a top 10 Pro Bowl back, solid receivers and the best defense in the NFL

Luck got drafted to the 2-14 Colts...I mean c'mon here

Skittles is top 5

Was he top 5 going into '11? Who is to say Russell's play didn't help him take that step from average in Buffalo to top 5 in Seattle? Or did the NO game propel him into the elites?

Read, S L O W L Y

Russ has a top end Defense, AND Running Back at his disposal.

Luck, does not have either of those things. Therefore (NOTE, no receivers have been mentioned here, NOTE, read that again) we are saying that there is an inherent advantage, from jump, that Russ has fallen into. Not a knock on him, merely the fact of his situation.

As a Seahawk fanbase, how do you not understand those things? I, as well as others, have ALL said, we like Russ Wilson, A TON, but that doesn't make him just suddenly better than Andrew Luck, just cuz.

And as others have asked for, if I saw fans of teams OTHER THAN the Seahawks putting Wilson above Luck, then I would listen to them, til then, I'm not listening to a bunch of Seahawk fans ***** and moan about their guy "not getting his due" when I continually say how much I like the kid, just can't place him above someone else.

Pretty soon Seahawk fans are going to make Wilson become hated like Cav fans used to do with LeBron. :smh:

Repped.

Reggie Wayne conveniently out for the season homer boy.
No need to be so sensitive about the discussion. You were the one saying the two QBs weren't even comparable at he beginning of the season only to find every NFL expert disagrees with you...

I thought we were referring to the situations the two players came into. Which is why I mentioned Reggie Wayne, one of the franchise greats at WR. And Luck struggled very badly for half the time Wayne has been out before righting the ship...

It is a stupid argument but it's a slow day in the NFL thread and it's what is being discussed

It's all because of Asinine55 or whatever his name is riding both sides of Russell and getting all Ninjahood on us

Your entire argument is "Luck is better because he was a better prospect." Meanwhile you're calling me a homer and getting sensitive when I posted multiple analytical arguments in the QB thread, from neutral sources, that made a case for Wilson.

You didn't respond to those though.

  at the thread right now....I actually agree with you on this here...Luck plays in a truly horrible division where non of the other teams have a qb. They're both good young players and have led their teams and done well lets leave it at that. I will say too that preconceived notions definitely play a role to an extent...Luck has BEEN hyped as the next chosen one and was a #1 pick, players drafted in the first round will have high expectations but also have the
"hes a 1st rounder tag" that adds some (admittedly sometimes undeserved) credibility to your talent and status as a player, where as if you're a third round guy there are automatically doubts and you have to be that much better to get the same amount of credit in some people's eyes.

I would say since that NO game he's been up there.

Top 10 and this season he pushed himself into that top 5 ish.

I mean who would you take over him?

AD , Shady , JC... That's pretty much it?

Oh I know right now he is top 5.

I confused myself in a rush to comment on your post

Overall I do agree with you Philly fans. Anyway we're in the playoffs now. Maybe we'll get some answers.

I think Wilson had a better season so far than Luck. I would never claim he is the better QB, because it's too early to make that kind of judgement.

Seahawks are first in the league in turnovers (39). Allow 14 points per game. Give up 273 yards of offense. 20 total touchdowns scored against this defense (16 passing, 4 rushing).

Colts are fifteenth in turnovers (27). Allow 21 points per game. Give up 357 yards of offense. 35 total touchdowns scored against this defense (21 passing, 14 rushing).

Just sayin'.

I bumped the QB thread so we can keep this place clean for the others. My apologies.
