Man of Steel (Superman Movie Thread) - June 14, 2013 - NEW Trailer pg20

Would anyone know if there is there a post-credits scene?

Superman is in the theaters watching Dark Knight Rises and hears the scene where the lady mention "John Robin Blake". He then starts booing with the rest of the audience.

You heard it here first

Lemme revise.
Perry is going to Clark to the office.
Perry: can you cover a City fundraiser; for Lois lane. She won't be in town.
Clark: sure where's it at.
perry: you know that hell hole Gotham city.
Clark: sure i know that area. Can I ask who's hosting it?
Perry: Bruce Wayne
Credits.

Not to throw shade on ur theory but why would another cities newspaper cover anchor cities fundraiser isn't that what gothams city paper is for. I predict Bruce Wayne helps with the rebuilding of metropolis after superman and Zod destroy it fighting

Wonder what they'll have to say about Superman Returns

U know I'm a say it now. This movie HAS TO EXCEED EXPECTATIONS. It can't be mediocre or just a good movie it really has to be THE BEST super hero movie of all time. Anything less and I'm afraid we won't see a superman film for a LOOOOOONG time. If it is GREAT it will surpass the avengers at least domestically in box office sales. I think it could do a billion EASY if it is a GREAT movie. Not good but GREAT. It has to be great. I really hope it lives up to the task.

Even my wife (who has zero interest in super hero movies) has mentioned that this is looking good to her. That alone tells me the previews are working. That woman hates everything.

I hope it is great and the best comic book film ever made but I don't think it needs to reach that for a sequel or JLA to happen. It just has to be a big hit in the box office, doesn't need to beat Avengers or TDK either but if it can make $200mil domestically and maybe $400mil-$500mil internationally for a total of $600-$700 mil and it would be considered a success and all other projects will be green lit.

In comparison, IM series averages in the $300mil range domestically, IM1 made $320mil domestic and $266mil international. Trend these days seems to be more success in the international market in comparison to when IM1 released so MoS has to come close to doubling the domestic number and they'd be good.

At a budget of $175mil plus maybe another $20-$30mil for marketing (complete guess on marketing number), at $500mil-$600mil, I think that will put the film in the success column. In comparison, GL made $220mil worldwide with a budget of $200mil and Superman Returns cost $270mil and only made $390mil worlwide. At this point with this much hype and great early reviews, it's hard to see MoS making less than those two movies.

in all seriousness can we have a hispanic/African American superman
I doubt it the melanin deficient people out there fear a black man. Imagine a black man with powers super powers. I hope they do though the black green lantern would be dope. They dude from Antwon fisher would be perfect. But lets not turn this into a can a black Asian or Hispanic actor play a super hero thread cause it can derail this thread QUICK

The character wouldn't necessarily have to be Superman. Have some minorities from Krypton or something. I think all of the people we've seen from the movies and Smallville were white. There were some hot Kryptonian female soldiers in Smallville that looked like they could pass as Latino.

I could see that working similar to the Red Son comic where he was raised in Russia. See the world through a kryptonian who is both different because of his origin as well as pigment. Doesn't have to be Superman though.
