:::[Official] San Francisco 49ers 2012-2013 Season Thread - Training Camp Starts July 27:::

Congrats to Bowman, he deserved it next is Goldson... That sucks about Hunter and Williams :smh: ... But now at least we hopefully get to see LaMichael and AJ on the field :pimp:

I wish Kyle and Kendall a speedy recovery but I'm also excited to see the young guns possibly take the field.

LaMichael and AJ :smokin

Hunter out for the season? Damn. Any word if he'll be back for the playoffs? Here's Jacobs chance to shine for us. LMJ too!

Just so happens Bounty Boy Vilma rolled Hunters ankle :smh:

Damn, we dont have a RB that can do what Hunter does, taking it to the outside. Gore + Hunter was a sick duo, not sure LMJ is ready to split carries yet.

Not gonna bother quoting because I want to respond to a few people.....

WCF: The word is he tore his achilles tendon. That would definitely put him out of the playoffs too.

ady2: Totally agree about cutting Alex in the offseason and giving his money to Goldson. Even if people think Alex deserves to start the remainder of the season, we have now seen enough from Kaep to be comfortable moving forward without Alex.

flash & 4one5: I had that same level of excitement about LMJ and AJ when I found out that Hunter and Williams will be lost (to clarify, excited about the opportunity to play, not the injuries). But I have read tweets/reports today that seem to be of the opinion that LMJ and/or AJ wont be activated and/or see any sort of significant playing time either way.

And just to add an opinion unrelated to any other posts......on Sunday night I was 100% convinced Kaepernick would be our guy moving forward and Alex will be relegated to second string. Dont ask me why, but I am no longer nearly as confident that this will be the case. I hope I am wrong, and my original opinion comes true. I just for some reason cant help but think Harbaugh is going to reinstert Alex as our starter. At best, I am 50-50 now.

Harbaugh knows how fragile Alex is right now, physically and emotionally. He didn't lose his job cause he sucked but because he was hurt. I could see Jimmy doing a little last minute decision on who are starter should be.

dland24, so there's a chance we won't be seeing much of LMJ or Jenkins? That's a bummer if that's true. Looks like Harbaugh is going for a more experienced core with Jacobs and Dixon. Is Teddy still our return man or do you guys think he lost it?

1000

:nerd:

I think Smith should start. Kaep needs more xp before **** gets real. I think at times he's scrambling too fast. Against NO thats koo they have a bad secondary, but that on the run pass proves to not help winning in the long run. Can't depend on two games. Smith got enough xp im confident in that

yeah, no.

 I'm sick of these comparisons to Kolb and Flynn (or even the Brady situation ). Kap is a completely different QB from those guys and this is a completely different situation than what those guys faced. Obviously there will be more film on Kap and he is going to have to adjust and no one knows how that will turn out. BUT the bottom line is he was able to move the offense and make the offense look A LOT more explosive than it did with Smith there. He is just another weapon for this team.

We can all go back and forth about what's right and wrong but Harbaugh will make the choice and I will trust him. Although I want Kap, I ain't doubting a coach who has shown how great he is, esp with QBs.

If I'm a Wr Te or Rb I'd be getting irritated with constant qb shuffling unless due to injury. Need to build chemistry and timing...can't just do it on th practice field

What ever harbaugh decides to do im 100000000% behind it. You guys should too. Hes the reason the niners are relevant again.

I don't see why not.  He had the fumble against the Saints, but other than that I think he's been solid for us this year, not great but solid.

Agreed. Although I would LOVE to see LaMichael get some kickoff/punt returns

I wouldnt. No offense, but did you watch the preseason? LMJ looked lost, slow, indecisive and ineffective. Ginn had a big mistake against the Saints, but I dont think he has been bad this season.

Harbaughs finally gonna reveal the starter in 5 mins. Starter for this game is the starter from here on out.

Wow, hes gonna stick with CK but he still says hes gonna stick with AS too, haha what?!
