:::[Official] San Francisco 49ers 2012-2013 Season Thread - Training Camp Starts July 27:::

I still have confidence in Colin, hope he is still our guy.

I feel for Alex seeing him on the sideline. But I think Kap utilizes our great weapons with his arm strength and speed. Definitely gets flustered at time where he needs to just take the loss on the play instead of trying to make a play and ultimately making it worse (i.e. intentional grounding safety)

Really wish Delanie would've caught that dime Kap threw him at the pylon for a TD though :frown:

Gotta get this win coming up against the Dolphins. I think our defense will absolutely dominate the game leading to a victory.

Doesn't feel right seeing Alex on the sidelines smh

What doesn't feel right is him going out to take part in the coin toss then going back to the sideline to spectate.

Glad the Giants lost.

Hope the Seattle Seahawks corners get suspended.

49ers
Hope the play calling gets better.
Hope Gore is okay he looked off yesterday.
Get VD the ball
A.J. Jenkins :nerd:
Lamichael James :nerd:
Can Andy Lee kick... field goals?

It's gonna be a tough road to the championship. I think once Jim Harbaugh got hired, and we started doing good, we thought we were unstoppable or something, or at least I did. I mean, we all knew we had amazing talent, from Bowman to Willis to Vernon to Delanie to Crabtree to Iupati to Davis and Smiths. However, to win a championship you gotta be the best team out of a league of 31, so the odds of that are amazing. I still think we can win a championship, but everything needs to go right. I've been thinking Colin Kaepernick was the better football player for days now, but it's an unfortunate shame that it had to take a concussion to Alex Smith, who was playing great (at least statistically) to make Jim Harbaugh switch starters. Kaepernick isn't exactly RG3 with the speed, but he is probably the most mobile quarterback after RG3. We need to activate AJ Jenkins and Lamichael James. Rookies yes, but they will bring the excitement back to the offense.

As far as weaknesses go, our most glaring weaknesses are in our secondary. When it comes to defending against the pass, we range from decently good to absolutely hopeless. I'm talking about Tarrell Brown, Carlos Rogers, and whoever else plays CB other than Chris Culliver. Hopefully we can turn up and excel at other areas of football to overcome those weaknesses. Anthony Davis (the basketball player) always said, improve ur strengths so much they can't notice ur weaknesses. Especially since it's sort of too late to make any change unless I'm wrong. Oh well, hopefully I get to watch the Miami game on TV and I don't have work, and if not we need to dominate like we used to. I believe we can still do it

Dont understand why everyone is calling for AJ Jenkins and Lamicheal James. Did yall watch any games in the preseason?

AJ had a real tough time running routes and hes still having trouble learning the playbook. We sit Moss for the majority of the snaps, why would we play a rookie with no experience.

Lamicheal just had plain trouble holding onto the football. He couldnt field punts and fumbled a couple times as well. You cant expect him to come in at this point of the season and try and replace Kendall Hunter cause that just isnt possible.

We need to see more of Brandon Jacobs. What did we get him for if we're not using him. That 3rd and 3 in the 4th was the perfect play for him, not a pitch to Ginn. Horrible play calling that game. Kap is a better athlete and qb than Alex but he still inexperienced. This far in the season is not the time to experiment. Alex would have win both games against the rams. It sucks seeing Alex on the sidelines, after all he's been through he deserves to start he earned it.

Niether Gore nor Manningham are at 100%. I'd like KP to have as many weapons as possible.Where did you read A.J. was having trouble learning the playbook?
We sit Moss because he is 35 no way close to being an every down player. As far as Lamicheal I wouldn't mind 5-8 plays a game seeing what he can do.

BJ should have an increased load this week. im also expecting ONE of our rookies to play this week too, looks like mario got hurt with a shoulder injury. our defense should have a field day against the phins, although we historically havent played against reggie bush all too well.. should be a win though!

A 49ers inside report stated hes having trouble learning the playbook after Kyle went down, which is probably why we picked up Chad Hall. I like AJ, but lets be honest, he shouldnt have been picked as high as he did. Ginn is ahead of him on the depth chart. I honestly think Harbaugh is just saving Moss fer the postseason. He doesnt have to be an every down player but the number of times he sees the field even on passing downs is not near enough. Atleast put him in there as a decoy if youre not gonna target him.

Long snapper Brian Jennings, quarterback Scott Tolzien and punter Andy Lee were sequestered in a corner of the locker room muffling laughter as they watched the Jim Harbaugh episode of “Save by the Bell” on a mobile device
The 1996 episode features Harbaugh and his perfectly conferred hair espousing the virtues of humility and team work as Screech’s cousin.
“He had amazing hair,” left tackle Joe Staley admired. Asked if Staley was jealous, he said, “No, the 1990′s are over. I don’t want 1990′s hair.”
Harbaugh was also captured in the episode giving Screech a hardy handshake and a vigorous pat on the back, not dissimilar to the one he gave Lions coach Jim Schwartz last year after the 49ers’ win in Detroit, which nearly started a brawl.
“There’s the evidence it was just a normal handshake,” Harbaugh quipped.
Harbaugh said he has heard a lot about the video, since it went viral over the last day, particularly from his family and the team. “(They) are making quite a lot of sport of it,” Harbaugh said.
Harbaugh said the show was fun for him, and that “it’s been all downhill from there.”

Does anybody know how much the 49ers gold jackets are? They had a rerelease at the team store and my dad would love one again.

The gold on those new jackets is a lil off when compared to my two OG jackets. Its more of a "yellowish" gold on the new ones. Still dope though.

YEA! We just got flexed to the SNF game against the Seacocks. 2 prime time games in a row!

Brandon Jacobs has had plenty to say over the past few days about his role on the 49ers. Jim Harbaugh, however, was not nearly as verbose today. "I don't ... I really don't have a comment for you on that at this point," Harbaugh said when asked about Jacobs. "No comment.

Have you spoken to him?

JH: "No comment."

Is he still part of the team?

JH: "I'll go with the fifth amendment. I have no comment on that."

Did you know when you acquired him that he had a tendency to complain about playing time?

JH: "Yeah, at this time, at this hour, I choose to have no comment."

Jacobs needs to chill and act like an OG. I understand why he's upset but don't put that on Twitter. Hopefully he's active for the rest of the season and playoffs because he still can be used in the offense.
