Celtics trying to Cassell from my Clippers. Go Eff off Beantown

No way they trade Rondo. They are looking for depth at the PG position, so trading Rondo for Cassell would not make any sense. If they get Cassell, him andRondo are going to be sharing minutes. If I'm LA, I don't mind doing this deal. I'd ask for a draft pick 2-3 years from now since I predict thisGarnett, Allen, and Pierce only have 2-3 more good years in them, and this team will be looking like the Heat are now when that time comes.

I'm not defending Clips losing the playoffs, but if the Clips make the playoffs this year and a healthy Brand returns, the way Kaman has been playing this year, PHX will have a problem. Kaman has stretched his offensive game this year and a bit more versatile. Brand is Brand, plus with a healthy Tim Thomas (pretty much the guy that beat the Clips and Lakers in the playoffs), with Thornton developing, healthy Mobley, Maggette and decent Cassell, it would be a great matchup and series in the playoffs.
You could say that about any time at any given time.

If the Warriors had everybody healthy and Baron Davis played like he did in the DAL series last year and if S.J. makes all his 3's and if Monta runs outfor every fast break and if Biedrins averages a double-double yap yap yap...

^^^ But yours is if they played, made 3's, averaged double-double, etc... I'm saying with a healthy Clips and the production their giving out now, itwould be a good match. I'm not asking for anything out of the ordinary from these players, just play the way they play but healthy.

Plus all us Clipper fans have at the moment are "what if's" so I hope this deal benefits the Clips.

If celtics get cassell. damn they would be an even better team. Cassell is old but hes still pretty good and has that veteran leadership.

wow no way the clips are even making the playoffs with EVERYONE healthy. that is laughable

Really?

Elton Brand is up there with Carlos Boozer, and while EB doesn't have Deron, Booz doesn't have Kaman. The Clippers are a good team when healthy, butwhat's the problem? They aren't! You constantly have Knight/Cassell going in and out of games because of their injuries, as well as Mobley/Maggettehaving minor health problems, then you have EB and Livingston (their future PG they wanted to have), and Tim Thomas has now fallen to the injury bug some.

The Clippers are about as good as the Lakers are when they are healthy, the only problem is, they aren't.

And the Clippers might as well get rid of Cassell, but I don't know what they could get for him, Eddie House+a pick?

Well, I'm guessing Scalabrine is in the offer to balance out contracts. The other players who I think would be part of the deal would be Gabe Pruittand/or Leon Powe. Last but not least, the Celts might offer a 2nd round pick, but the Clips are probably holding out for a 1st rounder. If I'm DannyAinge and the Clips start asking for Tony Allen, I'd walk away from the deal, and just hope that Cassell asks for a buyout before the season ends.

IF EB was playin there is no way Kaman would have the season hes having --- Just trade Cassell and get younger the Clippers are going no where

Kaman could still play the same even with EB on the line-up. His actually asking for the ball now and playing 40+ minutes a game. They would just be athreat in the paint, EB can shoot jumpshots and Kaman at the post. Defense will be great in the paint too with those two. Kaman really turned it around thisyear.

Plus if even if the Clips aren't going anywhere, why trade away a good to decent asset for nothing? Believe it or not, the Clips are working hard to tryand get wins. They haven't given up.

You're not trading Cassell away for nothing. But if you keep him, he'll sign with another team after the season ends and leave the Clips withnothing but their%!+@++ in hand.

^^^ It will be pretty for nothing if they don't get a PG for him. Chances are, Clips will be stuck with a longer contract and crappier player in a positionthey don't need.
