i agree with most of your list. Wes Welker is NOT underrated. And he ain't overrated either. But he doesn't break tackles from LB's. he is justextremely shifty (i.e. he will turn quick after he catches a pass off of a button hook) the man is good and he IS THE SECOND BEST WR ON THE TEAM. how are anyof you guys going to argue that.

I like his style of play also, you jsut gotta learn that the man is hated on niketalk just like D wade is.
oh and soon you will learn niketalk d-rides fred taylor and colston.

Again have you watched football at all this season? This cat is easily a top 5 corner right now and he's overrated? f outta here
 
Chad Johnson definitely isnt overrated. Wes welker is the 3rd best receiver on their team. Why do you think he plays the slot in the first place. Hewouldn't do too much if he lined up on the outside. You're telling me that donte stallworth wouldn't be as effective as wes welker in the slot?Please
 
WR- Chad Johnson...yes he's talented but his mouth is 10 times bigger than his game...to tell you the truth, if he was quiet and not such a blabber mouth, I would put him as most underrated
you cant possibly be serious. Please explain to me how a guy who has been in the top 3 in receiving yards the last seasons, including leading theleague last year in rec yds, has been over 1,000 yds and 5 tds every season since he has been in the league with the exception of his rookie season isoverrated.

LMAOOOO @ even including Chad Johnson on this list....the one guy who is a perennial 1000 yard reciever (and had 1400+ this season) is somehow overrated?*****....if you are going to get on Chad Johnson because he has a big mouth, then 2/3 of the NFL must be overrated as well....you can not like the guy becauseof his antics, but you can't deny the #'s that he puts up...

Chad is in no way overrated, but I honestly think T.J. is just as good as he is........




TJ is a VERY good WR, but he also benefits from playing alongside one of the best in the league in Chad Johnson....

AND Chad is overrated??? and the 2nd best receiver on his team??? ***** as my dude DoubleJs said.....Have you seen the routes that Chad runs??? You know theonly reason TJ gets of is b/c of all the attention chad gets....and he STILL put if 1400 this year... TJ is like Wes Welker...Lemme know when they go upagainst #1 CB's with regularity and see the stats they put up.....

Zant is one of the best Zone CB's in the league...
 
Chad Johnson and Asante Samuel even being in this thread = No Dice. Go back to your bedroom and rethink that list. For real though, QBs don't go at Zant asmuch because Ellis Hobbs is on the other side.

dude come on now....the guy is getting so much fame for just being at the right place at the right time
By" right place at the right time" do you mean matching up against a linebacker? Because that's all he does. Short and underneathroutes, lining up with a linebacker.

QB- Jake Delhomme...I know he didn't play this year but people were saying the Panthers team would be rejuvenated if he was still playing this year...me, I think differently...yes, the guy led his team to a superbowl appearance but seriously, he has no accuracy and he has SUSPECT decision making ability (forcing throws when under pressure)...and just had that one great year. Haters, just watch when next year rolls around. This guy will not finish out the season (not because of injury, but because of poor play)
RB- Reggie Bush...yes hes had injuries but he was hyped up from the start of his career and still hasn't done much but be a decoy out there
WR- Chad Johnson...yes he's talented but his mouth is 10 times bigger than his game...to tell you the truth, if he was quiet and not such a blabber mouth, I would put him as most underrated
TE- Vernon Davis...people only talk about him because of his speed and strength...well he looks like a different man with pads on...regardless of injury, this guys poor blocking performance and lack of playmaking ability deserves him to be in the most overrated TE spot for this year

DE- Shaun Ellis...the guy gets paid over 7 million to do basically do nothing...he only had 2 good years...03 and 04
LB- Joey Porter...top 5 overrated players in the entire NFL...overpaid, overhyped, and certainly didn't help the fins do crap this year...
CB- gotta go with Asante Samuel here...this guy does nothing but taking big risks and jumping his assignment (which is how he has made big plays)...if he was so good, why don't QBs avoid him?
S- Roy Williams...being a cowboys fan, I hate to put a Cowboy up in here but its only the truth...Roy is below average in coverage skills and his lack of tackling has really taken away his only great aspect in the game...hopefully things will change come next year

How is Chad Johnson overrated? He had 1400 yards and is 3rd in the league behind Moss and Wayne. When was Joey Porter ever hyped?? As for Reggie Bush, hehas the same disorder as Mike Vick, incredible athlete but doesnt have a position.

it's hard to call shaun ellis "overrated" when he was never really touted as a top player or underrated player in the first place. take intoaccount that dude plays end in a 3-4 scheme. he's not going to put up a lot of sacks from that position yet he was able to produce 5 as well as being goodat stopping the run [from what little i've seen, someone please correct me if i'm wrong].

as for calling chad johnson and asante samuel overrated, everyone that disagrees with you has already said what needs to be said.

i don't get why you would get all heated and mad over people disagreeing with you. you brought it upon yourself by posting this list up. this isn't athread for us to post up our own lists. this thread is "IM LIKE PELE's list of most overrated players in the NFL", not "POST YOUR MOSTOVERRATED PLAYERS IN THE NFL LIST". of course people were going to check this thread out and agree or disagree with your picks. what did you expect?everyone to praise your list and agree with you? you know damn well that's not gonna happen, especially in S&T.
 
Chad aint overrated, no way, no how





Asante WAS....prior to this year, but he stepped it up to another level this season
