Well tonight we go to Utah. Grant Hill is out after his appendectomy. Steve Nash may be out after leaving last nights game early with the stomach flu.
Utah is a tough team, and Deron Williams always plays very well against us.
We barely beat an awful Indiana team last night...tonight's game might be tough.
I'm hoping Steve is recovered...we'll need him.

Edit: Steve is out and Matrix might be out too.

Suns guard Steve Nash, who left Wednesday night's game in the third quarter because of the flu, is not with the team in Utah and won't play when the Suns and Jazz meet at 8:30 p.m.

Nash went to a Phoenix hospital last night for a midnight IV. Suns head athletic trainer Aaron Nelson said he would instruct Nash to stay home today, although Nelson said Nash was doing better.

Elsewhere:

Grant Hill checked out of a Phoenix hospital last night after a successful appendectomy. He's expected to miss two to three weeks. Shawn Marion, who fell hard on his right shoulder and elbow during last night's game, is with the team in Utah and will be evaluated later today.

Rookie D.J. Strawberry, who had not been scheduled to join the team until Friday's practice in Phoenix, is flying in to Salt Lake today instead, giving the Suns 10 players for tonight if Marion is available.

wow. this sucks but i still see us winning. Banks and Skinner really need to be in the starting 5 .. who's going to guard deron williams?? NOT BARBOSA!

This game could get UGLY real fast tonight. Another 30+ point blow out loss for the Suns tonight on national TV.

Let's Go Utah

As far as I've heard Trix should be playing. Nash didn't even travel to Utah, so he's definately out. Hill obviously is out too.

Maybe Bell will guard Deron Williams...Who is starting at the 2 guard for Utah these days? Korver? We don't really have to pay too much attention to him.

Barbosa is more than capable of leading the Suns to victory tonight while Nash is out. You can't even say, "Deron will definitely outplay Barbosa, butthe Suns will probably win," because it's not a definite that Barbosa will be outplayed at the point tonight. It wouldn't surprise me one bit ifLeandro finishes the game with a better line and the Suns win.

I think it will be a great game, with a victory of less than 5.

Go Jazz.

Barbosa does one thing well - score. I really don't like him running the point. The team doesn't have the same ball movement and the offensedoesn't really flow like when Steve is in the game. Barbosa's game isn't really suited as a PG.
Banks has been playing very well over the last two games, so I expect him to get a lot of minutes tonight.
I really wish that we had a real backup PG though. I was more confident with G. Hill in the lineup because he's a pretty good ball handler, but he'sout too.
What really worries me is that Diaw is going to get a ton of minutes tonight. He's the softest, most passive player in the history of the NBA. Ev ery timehe's in the game I'm annoyed.

If he were on my team, I would like him better as a backup 2 guard.

But you think he's only good for scoring? He doesn't play good D? I've always thought he held his own on defense. I mean, I don't have hisnumbers in front of me (and I've never been a numbers guy anyways; I like to base my opinions off of what I've seen, not the stats I've read) and Idon't watch/follow the Suns like you do (obviously), but from what I have seen, he's struck me as scorer whocan play his man pretty well on defense.

Like Charles said at halftime this will be interesting to watch from the Suns end. This is bigger game for PHX IMO than Utah.

Need to box out on boards, first and foremost. Not having Trix for that will make it more challenging.

Still, Barbosa could easily go for like 30-35 and lead us to victory.

STAT needs to step up and be the big man that he should be.

This would be a great win, with how shorthanded we are.

LET'S GO!
