Post some up....

Jerry Rice and Tim Brown on the Raiders awhile back.

That team was so much fun to watch.

Brett Favre, thats all there is to say in this thread. That guy is a warrior, and thats from a Bears fan

Really? his head got awfully fat in the 90s. and I don't mean ego

What about Jerry "Flied" Rice? You all think he's clean?

[Kurt Angle] oh, it's true...it's true [Kurt Angle]

Obviously, it would be hypocritical of me to say, "I'm not for sure, but I think ________ is using something," and then turn around and say,"I am POSITIVE that ________ is clean."

If I don't know one way, then I can't know the other way.

With that being said, here are the guys I admire for what I believe... BELIEVE... to be pure, clean careers*:

- Griffey
- Maddux
- Edmonds
- Frank Thomas (I was a huge fan of both Griffey and Thomas in the 90s, but only Griffey continued putting upnumbers. Regardless, I still appreciate Thomas' career, and I do think he's clean.)
- A-Rod (I know HTTB and Fanatic15 just spit their drinks all over their monitors.
laugh.gif
This is NOT a list of guysI like; it's a list of guys I appreciate for what I believe to be clean, productive careers. A-Rod definitely has the numbers to be credited with beingproductive, and I personally do believe him to be clean. So there ya go. And the main reason I believe he's clean is that dude's numbers have been veryconsistent throughout his career.)
- Chipper
- Andruw (If this dude is on anything, it's Oreos.
laugh.gif
)
- Miggy Cabrera (If THIS dude is on anything, it's Oreo FILLING.
roll.gif
)
- Mariano Rivera
- Jeter
- Chone

All I could think of off the top.

And I've said before that I put quite a bit of stock into anything Canseco says on this steroids issue, because he's batting 1.000 on the issue so far.I can't stand his arrogant, boneheaded self as a player or a person, but he's been spot on with this issue. So I have to give him that.

And one of the things he's said is that throughout the 90s and early 2000s, anywhere from 85-90% of MLBers were using. Since he said it, I have to believethat. Since that is a ridiculously high number, I definitely do NOT deny the possibility that some of the people on my list (or hell, EVERYONE on my list) usedperformance-enhancing drugs.

I'm just saying right now that I don't personally believe they've cheated. But if some speculation came up that throws any (or all) of those namesin the guilty discussion, I wouldn't defend them.

*Yes, it's all baseball players. I don't follow football NEARLY enough to have a credible opinion of who's tainted/clean, and it's the samewith hockey. And I don't think basketball is really caught up in this 'tainted vs. clean' debate, because 'roiding it up actually hurts abasketball player.

*edit* Please don't ask me about guys I didn't name. "You think Josh Beckett is on something? Jim Edmonds? David Ortiz? Paul Molitor? JoeDiMaggio? Walter Johnson? Ozzie Smith? Paul Saltalongnameacchia?"

Look, I'm not going to go through every team's roster (or even the Angels' roster) and pick the guys I think are good to go.
laugh.gif
I just quickly threw out the names that I have always thought were good. It isby no means meant to be a thorough, exhaustive list.

How do I put this?

Do I think Vlad is on something? No, I don't. But it wouldn't surprise me if I heard that he was.

The guys I named, I'd be completely shocked if their name was thrown in the discussion of the guilty.

And peep the edit on my reply.
