Is the Moss trade the most lop-sided in sports history?

Oakland offers up Moss.

New England offers up a fourth-round draft pick.

Moss goes on to break the touchdown record, while going undefeeated.

Herschel Walker.

Was traded for five players and 6 draft picks. Of those six draft picks (after a couple trades to move up) Dallas selected Emmit Smith, Kevin Smith, DarrenWoodson, and Russell Maryland.

Who took Walker, was it the Eagles?

^ The Vikings. At the time Walker was a stud and Viking management thought it would be a good idea to get him. Dallas was rebuilding with Jimmy and fleeced theVikings for all those picks. They then led to much of the base of their title teams and there goes the story.

Viking coaches and staff were said to be so pissed off when the trade went down that Walker was sort of an outcast when he got to Minnesota. The GM though wassmoking crack and thought his big name would rev up the franchise and figured he would worry about the draft picks later. Well it didnt and it now is oneveryone's list as worst trades ever as it should be.

Heading into the 1980 NBA Draft the Celtics held the number one overall pick. But in a shrewd pre-draft trade, considered by some to be among the most lopsidedin NBA history, Boston Celtics President Red Auerbach dealt the top pick and an additional first-round pick to the Golden State Warriors for Parish and theWarriors' first-round pick, the third overall. With that pick the Celtics chose McHale.

this beats all

Brett Favre was traded to the Packers by the Falcons for the packers 1st round (#19) pick in the 1992 draft... the Falcons used that pick to draft Tony Smith(i think)

Ron Wolf was the new GM of the Packers that year and ignored the doctors telling him that Favre was a risk because he was diagnosed with the same hip disorderthat ended Bo Jacksons career.

Favre> Tony Smith

How about those guys in europe who get traded for MEAT

i dont know how lopsided that is considering how bad you have to be, but still.

First thing that came to my mind was Dirk for Robert "Tractor" Traylor.

I thought about the Divac one, but Vlade was still an ok center at that time. In hindsight, not worth Kobe tho.

No. Moss flat out quit on the Raiders

. If he didn't and actually played hard, his stock would have been higher. The Raiders pretty much had nouse for Moss, since even if they wanted to use him he would be a cancer.

Carter for basically Aaron Williams & Eric Williams in 2004

Barkley for Jeff Hornacek, Tim Perry, and Andrew Lang in 1992

Randy Moss for a 4th round pick in 2007

Moss quit on the Raiders and didn't make an effort to catch the catchable passes thrown to him...

Dale Davis and Speedy Claxton for Baron Davis is one of the more recent lopsided trades.

Along with the Shaq trade. Lakers should have never traded or let go of Caron Butler.

btw that Moss trade was based on what he did w/ Oakland...he wasnt THE Randy Moss we saw in Minnesota

a lot of you fail to realize that Randy Moss has most of the attention he has now due to him openly saying "he plays when he wants to." When he gotto the Raiders, he pretty much just played like some 3rd string rookie free agent
smh.gif
He gets traded to New England, a team that he knows doesn't take that BS and is known for winning Super Bowls, and he is isntantly re-energized bythe thought of winning his first super bowl. He never lost a step, he just stopped caring.

can't respect dude for that

yes. trading the goat for a 4th rounder will forever live in infamy.

i am just glad that the raiders traded him, things we're never gonna work out there. the raiders were an insult to his talent. however, daunte and mossreuniting would have been
