Heat Pulling Out All The Stops to Save the Season... (NBA protest)

The fact that they have to do this for a win against the Hawks is explanation enough for how this season has gone....

heat pulling out all the stops is right... damn, I didnt know that though and I was listening to that game... interesting..

edit: I hope this doesnt mess up there game plan for tonight.
Hawks need this win tonight!

i dont understand how this will work. how are they going to only play 50 seconds ? thats like making a team travel for something thats less then practice. andhow are the players going to have fatigue of they replay it all freshed up with 50 seconds left ?

They are going to warm up and play for 1 minute like its the end of the game...

miami all desperate

See, what if Shaq is injured at the time of this game? What if there are roster changes? Then what? A Final score is a final score. If the heat coaching staffdont find the error and talk to the refs about it, then its their own damn fault they lost. So a whole bench of people in suits (around 7 guys in a row), andnot one keeps stats? What about the guys sitting behind the bench. You cant tell me that nobody on the Heat noticed that the foul was on the wrong player. ItsMiami's own damn fault, final score.

Stern is the worst commish in sports history. And im not being sarcastic either.

[Yes -- I'm taking it there] The Kings shoulda been in the 02 Finals!

They should cancel Samaki Walker's halftime buzzer beating halfcourt shot in Game4 as it was proved that he was just short of releasing the ball...meaningthe Kings would have won by 2 points!

I'll be first in line to buy my tickets to the 2008 "Replay of the 2002 NBA Finals" featuring the New Jersey Nets and Sacramento Kings.

If anything, it'll be worth the money to see Todd MacCulough play basketball again.

Seriously -- I can't have the Kings' only Finals appearance of that era come during 'How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days'....

Hahahaha this is just stupid, the Magic are going to make a case against the game they lost to the Rockets. I can just feel it.

at B1lly Hoyle, what ever happened to Todd MacCulloch? Does he evenplay over seas now?

I'm a Lakers fan but I will readily admit you are 100% correct about that.

And

@ the How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days reference. I remember I was thinking, "I wonder how much the Kings and Knicks paid to be in the finals in thismovie."

This is crazy. I can't believe the nba allowed this. I hope the ref's were fired because shaq is the biggest man out there. Kinda hard to forget howmany fouls he has.

Are you serious ? Who the hell do you think filed the protest ? The heat did, they realized it when it was happening. If you gonna respond tosomething at least know what you are talking about and dont just type something for the hell of it. NT boy I tell you,

THAT... would be ABSOLUTELY... HILARIOUS!!!

I have been thinking the exact same thing, like he grabs someone on the first inbounds pass *whistle*, fouls out, and they finish it out the same way

I am really hoping for that.

It wasn't the refs. It was a scorer on the sidelines who made the mistake and gave him an extra foul. It isn't the refs' job to keep track offouls. It's the job of coaches and those at the scorers table. I'm guessing Miami was aware of the situation and probably tried to protest at the time, but what are you going to do in the heat of the moment (no pun intended), just take Miami's word for it? It's like when I used to do scoring and timingfor rec league and I had coaches/parents keeping track of the score on their own sheet. They'd come up saying their team should have one more point, orsomething. If our stat sheet and scoreboard matched there was no issue, and we checked it all the time. But in this case, the scorer was in error, and anegregious one. So don't blame the officials.

We need to just take the lost..

at this point i just wanna tank the rest of the season and get a highpick..hopefully in the top 3 and take Michael Beasley or Derrick Rose(assuming they come out)

Wow, this is insane. For the first time since 1982? I would've thought they would need a bigger reason than this to re-play a game. There were many othersituations over the years that were obvious mistakes which would be a better reason to repeat the game, such as buzzer beaters that weren't released ontime, but were allowed. These actually had a direct influence on the result, unlike this, where we would have to speculate what would've happened if Shaqstayed in the game.

Aww man this some new stuff. I aint never heard of that. Think of the possibilities. Maybe they will let Lebron go back and play some of those NBA Finalsgames.
