Yeah, I worded the title intentionally as a joke, but it's still a serious question.
What is the likely hood that BOTH top seeds make it to the Super Bowl? as far as I know, both #1 seeds haven't met in the SB since????

So is this the year it gets done?

You have to put a period after the "LOL" because that's apparently a complete sentence (to some people).

vol LOL?

why is that funny kid

Ever happen to catch the NFL Week In Review threads started by none other than S4L?

From an article on FoxSports.com...

Since 1990 there has only been one time where the Number 1 seed from each Conference has met in the Super Bowl. That would be 1991 when the (14-2) Washington ******** met the (13-3) Buffalo Bills.

The chances of it happening aren't that great, but then again, maybe it's time for it to happen again.

The only thing that worries me about the Cowboys game this weekend is the fact that they're playing the Giants for a 3rd time this season. It's prettytough to beat a team 3 times in one season. But I still have the Cowboys reppin' the NFC in my Super Bowl prediction.

So the odds are against them, which team is going home early then?

Well, I've been calling for a Patriots loss for a long time

They've kept on proving me wrong, but I'm gonna keep going for it. I have theJaguars beating 'em...and if that doesn't happen I have the Colts/Chargers beating 'em.

Yes, I'm a hater.

Atleast the man is honest about it

Haha, you want some more?

I hate the Celtics. Well not really hate, but just don't like at all.
I hate the Red Sox (my roommate sweats them whenever he's not sweating the Packers/Brett Favre).
I also hate the Packers (see above statement about roommate).

That's about it for now.

1992 was the last time two #1 seeds met.

people also need to stop believing the "its rare to beat the same team three times" nonsense that BSPN is spewing. altho the cowboys failed to do itagainst the Cardinals in 1998, there's been 17 times where the same teams met for a third time in the post season and 11 of those times the team that sweptthe team in the division also won that game making it three times in a row. the record is 11-6 for sweeping in the reg + post season

The Jaguars.
The Colts.
The Chargers.
The Packers.
The Giants.
The Seah... nevermind.

But I think you get the point. Any given sunday, my friend.

Well I haven't watched any ESPN (other than a few basketball games) in well over a week. It's actually been almost two weeks. So I'm definitely notgetting that from ESPN. As much as I used to play sports when I was younger, it was always tough, no matter what sport, to beat a team three times in oneseason. We used to dominate people in baseball, but even some of the worst teams would give us a run for the money in the third game. It's just the factthat you get so comfortable because you know that you've already taken care of business not once, but twice against them.

It'll probably happen, but you still have to play the games. The "best" team in each respective conference =\= automatic entry to thesuperbowl......you never know what can happen in a 1 game playoff.

Lets see the Giants are going to stop the Cowboys on Sunday...
And the Jaguars will be stopping the Patriots tonight

If they can get past the Jags, then the Patriots still gotta deal with this man........
