great movie and all but I have a question. Was Allen Iverson originally suppose to star in this film? I think I heard this from somebody but I am not sure. Cansomebody confirm this?

If true, who do you think would have played the better role of Jesus? Ray Allen and his deep!$@* voice actually wasn't that bad. It would have been sick tosee A.I. as Jesus Shuttlesworth though.

Spike Lee has strong connection with Nike for years. The movie was advertising Jordan/Nike shoe as well (AJ XIII, Nike Foamposite)
i bet into some degree...Nike was contributing seomthing for this movie

On the other hand,..Iverson has always been Reebok guy since draft day probably???

Ray Allen was better then AI in potraying high school student

whoa, where did you find that quote from. Not for nothing I would rather have seen Marbury in the role. Him being from Coney Island and all.

Hmm it would be a weird world if AI was the star instead of Ray Allen...
 
If I'm not mistaken, I think AI wanted to chill his first off season and kick it back home with his newly earned NBA money. Like stated earlier, Icouldn't picture that movie turning out any other way. Ray's performance of his role was pretty decent IMO, although now that someone mentioned,Starbury wouldn't have been a bad choice either.
 
I heard it was supposed to be Doug Christie, but when his wife saw the script and learned that those two chicks would be in sex scene with her Dougie, she toldSpike herself that he wasn't doing it, because he was sick.
 
who cares about Iverson, the movie is great with Ray Allen and couldnt imagine it with anyone else being better a better character.
 
^^^ Well, apparently Spike Lee did because he was his first choice (I believe) for the part of Shuttlesworth. I guess we can't day anything because themovie is what it is, but my dude A.I. coulda played the part.
