yeah i hate rivers and his cocky attitude. thinks he's one of the elite QBs or something. wasn't he talkin smack to jay cutler or something? i hopepatriots smack them and rivers throws a bunch of interceptions
 
I seriously don't know what it was.

I'm not going to lie, I was a supporter of his when he was backing up Drew, and I was supporter of his last season. But for some reason this season,I'm seeing his true colors shining through and I'm not a fan of it.

Not to take away from his talent, because he's got it. But until he cleans up his attitude, I can't support him as a QB alone, but since he's aCharger and he's getting us Ws then I've got to support that.
 
I kind of hope he beats the Patriots (for obvious reasons) and gets his hopes up like "*!*# you fans, I'm going to win a Superbowl" then... He will then get fed humble pie by Kampman and Co.

Rivers was never that great in my opinion that's why when drew brees was in SD he started over him. I saw the game when they played the broncos and he wastalking trash to jay cutler after they won the game what's up with that?



Bottom line: Rivers=Trash

Bottom line: Rivers = better QB than any you have touched, seen or smelled in a Raider uniform since Gannon left. Including Jamarcus Russell.
 
I'll admit Rivers has stepped up big time for the Chargers but his attitude will be his downfall. This guy reminds me so much of Ryan Leaf its hilarious. I mean to get into a shouting match with a Colts' fan and for it to be broadcast to a national audience?

I was watching the post game conference and Rivers did say he could come back in...but he didn't want to ruin the drive. As far as the JaMarcus comment....The jury's still out out. He missed all of preseason and only started one game. I'm sure people couldnt really judge Rivers after one game. He may be better, he may be worse...... I work with alotta Charger fans and all seem to hate Rivers. Its funny cause I kept telling them SD could win it all at the beginning of the year and no one believed me.
 
PR did say that however I think he may be hiding the true nature of his injury.

Today Norv Turner blew off the questions regarding PR's injury, raising some concern about said injury.

It's bad enough San Diego has a distinction of being a soft cookie cutter town. Glad we traded for Rivers.

I like the way he plays and I also like that hes a douche to fans.





Him and Cutler are going to be no joke within the next couple of years.





Im more happy for Vincent Jackson then anything. He doesnt complain about getting the ball, He runs his routes well, Blocks very good and basically does alotof the little things that go unnoticed.

Glad to see him abuse so far in the playoffs after not having the season many expected.





Im pullin for a Chargers vs Packers game.

Anyway back on the topic, I'm a Charger fan and when me and my friends watch the Chargers, we blame every blown play on Phillip Rivers... even on defense. If LT or Gates drops a good pass, we'll say.. "stupid Rivers threw it too hard" Or when LT loses yards, we'll say "stupid Riversshoulda passed it" And if he makes a good throw and Jackson or Chambers catch it... we'll give all the credit to the receivers.

That said, yeah I would rather have Drew Brees, but Rivers is better than some of the other quarterbacks we've had the past 10-15 years... Stan Humphries,Ryan Leaf, Billy Joe Toliver, John Friesz, etc...
 
It doesn't have to do with "hating" on him (at least for me). And it doesn't have to do with his on field play. To think it is okay for anadult to act that way is simply ludicrous. Guy acts like a spaz and a child so many times, it is just unnecessary. And it isn't just off the field withfans, it is on the field with his own team (i.e. spiking the ball into his center because of a delay of game, running around yelling at everyone after a badplay). He has to be careful not to alienate himself. That is what annoys people, fans, opposing teams, and probably some of his own teammates. Guy has talent,but don't pull a Leaf and ruin it by not being able to control the mental side of the game.
 
No, I don't think it is ever really ok to go up to fans like that. One thing if you are on the field and motioning to the general crowd or shushing after aTD. Completely different what Rivers did. Just unnecessary, no reason for him to even start something like that and then perhaps get hit in the face with abattery or thrown beer, etc.
 
I can't stand this guy at all. He seems like a !@+%%$!!#, and he reminds me of Ryan Leaf.





That being said, I still hope the Chargers win the Superbowl. I want to see Norvel win one, because it just wouldn't make any sense lol.
