Why Kaman is doing so well

Prior to this season, Kaman had difficulty remembering plays and it affected his performance. As a two-year old, he was diagnosed with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). But in July, the neurosurgeon informed him his classification from childhood was wrong. Kaman is in the midst of a breakout season, averaging 17.9 points, 13.7 rebounds and 3.0 blocks.

and still not getting in the all-star game

i still dont see how ppl say camby needs to be there and not kaman

So he was taking medication for ADHD and he didn't really have it or something? How come it only started affecting him this season?

The real answer is because Elton Brand isn't on the floor, but whatever.

i still dont see how ppl say camby needs to be there and not kaman

Well, because Camby is better.

Regardless, they should both be there.

he's not sharing the paint w/ elton brand and plays are being called for him..
basically, but this is no knock on kaman.

I feel like the real reason is cuz he's 7foot, probably finishes better with either hand than any big man in the league, can hit the 15 footer, hogs theglass, and blocks shots.

dude is by far a nba starting center and should remain a top 3-5 center for a while. He gets blocks, but he needs to work on his help D a little better

I saw a special about this on Outside The Lines. He doesn't have ADHD, but he has the opposites, his brainwaves are too fast. He has this training he doesfor 2hrs a few times a week on slowing down his thinking. It's like a virtual reality thing where the screen is going down a street and he has electrodesplugged into his brain and when it gets going too fast, the screen goes fast or something and he has to consciously slow it down.

I'd rather have Kaman if I didn't have any other imposing big men on my team. Kaman has size and mass, which is rare, but Camby's talent is greaterthan Kaman's. But that doesn't mean I want Camby guarding Bynum or Dwight Howard.

the clips are brandless, therefore no other big to hog up the paint. when brand comes back to the clips, if he even does...kaman's numbers WILL drop.

Maybe the threadstarter has ADHD, because if you read that correctly you would see he doesn't have it.
I was thinking that maybe all those years he's been taking medicine for something he doesn't have might have affected his play.
Thanks for the ADHD comment though.

I was also trying to point out that he's been misdiagnosed since he was 2!

Of course Brand not being there inflates Kaman's numbers, but people were predicting him last year to average at least 14/10/2 last year. At the veryleast he's an upper-middle tier center.

Kris Humphries has ADD. Does that mean he should make the all star game?

But seriously, Chris Kaman is probably the most deserving player in the west to get into the all star game. Dude is playing like nobody can stop him withnobody else on his team giving him real help.

and here i thought Kaman got no love on NT.

. If there is talent there, I will recognize it, even if I hate the player (aside from Vince Carter, Yao Ming, and Alonzo Mourning

). Only reason why Idont like Kaman is because he looks like a goof. But the dude has some game, and if he is not even recognized, then you know the NBA is a leauge that losescredibility.

It's the ability to finish and shoot low post moves with both hands. Kaman is better than Camby because of this.

It would be a shame if Kaman doesn't make the All Star team with 17ppg, ~14rpg, and 3bpg. These are stellar numbers.

Kaman is definitely better than Camby this season. He gives you pts, reb and blks. His also shooting a lot better FT% as well. To be honest, I don't thinkhe even gets as many shots as he should be getting. He has been the only consistent players in the Clips line-up the whole season yet most of the time, they goaway from him the offense most of the time, I guess it's understandable now that teams are double/triple teaming him because the rest of the team can'tshoot a decent fg% but he has the potentila to go for 20+ pts. a game if Dunleavy allows him to touch the ball more often. I can see him being a 15/10 guythough once Brand returns but that's not even a sure thing this season and his definitely taking advantage of his playing time this year. GO KAVEMAN!!!!
