I stopped by my favorite local skate shop yesterday and it just so happened the guy who does the ordering for the store had just come back from a trade showand had a ton of Supra Samples (more than just Skytops). Sorry, no pics.
Here's some of the Skytop highlights - a) All red Patent, white sole b) All Metalic Silver (a la 14ks), white sole c) All black patent with rockerstuds going up the side, black sole (HOT!) d) All black new proprietary material (developed exclusively by Supra) that looks like canvas but is more likevinyl (think the Gourmet Jordan joints but more more durable) e) White/red leather with silver pinstripes on back, white sole
Also, they're putting out a Vans-like slip-on that has a dope detachable tongue, hard to explain, but very hot.
He said Supra obviously acknowledges that this would be the time to re-release some of the more popular past releases (gold/silver's, etc) and flood themarket and make a ton of $, but recognizes that doing so would cause them to get played out too soon, so they're completely skipping the Summer Season andkeeping the general releases somewhat limited and doing the high end stuff like quickstrikes. He also said that there will be more 'surprise'releases.
