- DAVID ROBINSON

- SHAQ

- MIKE TYSON

- TONY GWYNN

- JOE MONTANA

- JERRY RICE

- TOM BRADY

- PEYTON MANNING

- LEBRON

- JIM ABBOTT

- VINCE (this one is interesting; I won't be telling my kids about him necessarily because of how great he is per se, but because of his crazy hops, likeJUMPING OVER A DEFENDER IN THE OLYMPICS)

- KIDD

- MADDUX

- McGWIRE, SOSA, BONDS, CLEMENS (for reasons you should probably be able to figure out considering I grouped them together; no, I won't be saying'These guys did steroids and no one else did,' so stop typing that response before you even begin.)

- KOBE (like Bonds and Clemens, this name won't be mentioned to my son [or other future kids] as an entirely positive example; I've made it no secretthat my overall opinion of Kobe is not positive; stans, stay away; I'm just answering the question Don't try to change my opinion in here; I didn'task.)

- FARVRVEERV

- FEDERER ("Son, let me give you an example of someone who played an individual sport, and completed dominated. Completely.")

- TIGER WOODS ("Actually, let me give another example."

- DEION SANDERS (as a freakish, 2-sport professional athlete that succeeded at the championship level in both sports he played)

- BO JACKSON (as someone that very well could have)

- GRIFFEY, Jr ("Speaking of greatness being slowed down because of injury, let me tell you about Griffey, son...."

- GRANT HILL ("While we're at it, let me tell you about Hill, too..." Seriously, Hill was incredible. Some won't see the connection, but Ihave a feeling that most who saw Hill the Piston will see it: he was LeBron before LeBron.)

- BARRY SANDERS

- DAN MARINO

- JOHN ELWAY

- WAYNE GRETZKY

- AGASSI
