Is Adam Morrison done with the Bobcats? In the NBA?

I wasn't expecting so much backfire, but on NT you always have to pick your words carefully.

And the only reason I even thought of him not being picked up by another team is because he would ask for too much money (10+m)
Adam Morrison will NOT get 10+ million, nor will he ask for that much. Are you on crack?

Gerald Green and Gerald Wallace are getting mixed up here.

When I check Rotoworld and still see reports on Othella Harrington, then I know for sure that Adam Morrison still has a place in this league.

As much as I disagree with the person you are arguing with, the Mavs play defense at a much higher rate than the Suns do. The last two times both teamsplayed the Warriors here are the averages: Mavs give up 107, Suns give up 126.5......you do the math.

he will not even be as good as he was before he got injured when he comes back. probably not get much clock with the way j rich and g wagon are playing. theywill probably pick up his option but dude will still be a bum

The rookie payscale is so cheap why wouldn't the Bobcats pick up his option? He was a high lottery pick, from a public relations standpoint, notpicking up his option means that drafting him was a mistake. Not to mention he's only been in the league a year, it's a no-brainer.

On a team-average, the Mavericks play an insanely amount more defense than the Suns do. Yes there are teams who exploit us like the Warriors, but there areteams all around the League that have bad match-ups, that's why no one's dominant in the L right now (word to the Celtics recent two-game skid).I'm not saying who's a better team, but to compare the two teams defenses, it's plausible, and the Mavericks play much better defense. If we weretalking 2-3 years ago, I'd agree with you, but now? I can't agree. Mavericks are the top ten in the L in least points allowed @ 96. I'm fine withsaying were not defensive juggernauts like Boston, Detroit, San Antonio, or Houston, but we're not bad, and the Suns defense? It's bad, but that'show they play Basketball, forget defense for more offense.

EDIT: The option on Charlotte for Morrison is 4.1m, which they could get a decent FA using that money, and who knows who they'll go for in the off-season,and I'm pretty sure they'll get someone with all that cap space they have. Behind J-Rich, Gerald, Matt Carroll (if he re-signs which I honestly thinkhe will, he seems to enjoy Charlotte), Emeka Okafor, Raymond Felton, Nazr, that's where Morrison would lay on this team.

the funny part is how off subject this just got ,show me the part when i said the suns were some defensive powerhouse. wait you cant cause i never said thatall i said was( adam morrison )needed to play some defense!!!! way to many haters!!!BTW I would be the first die hard suns fan to admit how sorry our defensecan be at time's but this is'nt what the threads about .

You said he'd be a great fit for the Suns, saying that he can hit spot up three's and needs to learn to play defense. If you're going to use thatas your argument and then deny it, make it clear that you meant two different things, it's hard to tell things no the "internetz." I'm nottrying to stray off on a tangent, but it still had to do with Morrison.

And I doubt any Suns fans on NT would want Morrison.

I remember when he was an alias player on Gonzaga his freshman year... He's come a long way.
He will be scooped up really quickly. Teams hardly turn back good shooters.

By anyone, I meant fans; maybe all the people I talk to are just in agreement. I don't totally hate the dude, and I don't necessarily dislike him, Ijust don't think he's very good right now, but I know he has potential.

They won't get any top-3 pick in free agency for that much money; 4.1m is pocket change. They've already evaluated him and seen enough to drafthim, he hasn't played enough to determine if he is a bust or not, and as I mentioned, not picking up his option would be a disaster in the public eye. Theyhave tons of salary cap space for other FAs and the potential reward of keeping Morrison and seeing how he improves is so high, I don't see why theywouldn't.

Sorry, I wasn't implying that they would spend 4.1m on a free agent and that's it instead of pursuing Morrison, but what I meant was that this season, they are only spending 52 million this year, giving them LOTS of flexibility with free agents if they're trying to make a major move. I understand yourpoint with them wanting to keep him so cheap and see what he can do, and I don't necessarily disagree, but I'm just saying that keeping him isn't a100% thing.

The Bobcats have vacancies in the front court and at the PG position. Morrison is that puzzle piece I think they can move to bolster these openings.

The only thing that would possibly happen is that they would trade him, but even that is far-fetched. No one gives up on a top 3 player after one year, andeven though he wasn't exactly what they thought he would be, he still averaged nearly 12 points in 30 minutes. Granted, his shooting percentage was bad,but he's a rookie. It would be one thing if the Bobcats were contending and had no money to spend on other players and they could package Morrison to astruggling team, but that's not the case. Now, if he stinks next year, then your question becomes more interesting...

I never liked Morrison but there is no way he is out of the league after this year. Some team will pick him up if the Bobcats don't renew his contract.

I think the Bobcats need to let him go, and spend that money on a free agent filling his position. Might as well get someone for the same amount of money thatwill actually produce.

Morrison will be in the league once he is able to recover from that Achilles injury...I say, he ends up in Indiana...Just cause. Haha. A suggestion would be toshave off that ridiculous mustache of his and maybe he'll be offered a contract back with the Bobcats...He hasn't been a bust though, we all know hecould score, yet the rebounding is the big question....Now another teammate of his should be questioned and that is Sean May...Fat boy.
