POST YOUR WATCHES vol. ?

Wordy - is that seiko premier a kinetic drive? i see the little rating thing on the 9-12 o'clock side, which is typical of seiko kinetics. usually seiko will have kinetics somewhere on the facedial, but it just says automatic...so maybe it's just the reserve power from the automatic winder? you tell me

The movement on this watch is SEIKO's 6R20 automatic, it is not kinetic. As you look at the back you will notice the mainspring is wound by an oscillatingweight. Most Seiko Kinetics/quartz have a tiny generator driven by an oscillating weight. But yes, has a 45 hrs power reserve.

i see, thanks! i've always liked the kinetic series, i've always wanted one but now i guess is a bit late with the eco drive already out.

have you also looked into other brands in the same price range? you can get some really beautiful nardins or audemars at that price range (gently used, or course), i tend to favor the artistry of those over the more conservative iwc's...if i want conservative it'll be a patek for a dress watch and mid-range for everything else.

I've checked some forums selling the watch but if I can get the dealer to sell it for near the around the same price range, although it's going tobe difficult, I would rather buy it from them and establish a relationship for the future.

I've checked out Audemars but their Millenary series is a bit too plain for me and their Royal Oak series just isn't doign it for me. To be honest forthe price of Audemars, I rather get a Hublot Big Bang. At least with those I don't have to worry about getting it banged up. I have this thing about blackwatches and I can't resist the Hublot's all black BB and ICE. I'm also considering Zenith, for some reason I just really like the complicatedfaces their watches have, their skeleton watches are nice too and it's pretty easy to get Zenith on a discount.
