How much for the Chanel?

Yeah I wanted to know how much the J12 cost. Either way it's probably gonna be way over what I can afford.

have you also looked into other brands in the same price range? you can get some really beautiful nardins or audemars at that price range (gently used, or course), i tend to favor the artistry of those over the more conservative iwc's...if i want conservative it'll be a patek for a dress watch and mid-range for everything else.

I've checked some forums selling the watch but if I can get the dealer to sell it for near the around the same price range, although it's going to be difficult, I would rather buy it from them and establish a relationship for the future.

I've checked out Audemars but their Millenary series is a bit too plain for me and their Royal Oak series just isn't doign it for me. To be honest for the price of Audemars, I rather get a Hublot Big Bang. At least with those I don't have to worry about getting it banged up. I have this thing about black watches and I can't resist the Hublot's all black BB and ICE. I'm also considering Zenith, for some reason I just really like the complicated faces their watches have, their skeleton watches are nice too and it's pretty easy to get Zenith on a discount.

come on man! audemars has some of the most intricate movements i've seen!

have you checked out the jules line? i'm more of a movementhead than anintricate dialhead sort of guy

big bang's a nice choice, but from what i've seen/heard of it, it's quite large and not really for dressier occasions or even with a suit.it'll definitely make a great casual wear watch, but if you can afford a big bang for a casual watch you'll probably be able to afford all the audemarsyou want! i haven't seen/heard much from zenith (pronounced zeh-nEETh), other than their vintage watches, which look similar to vintage longines and areequally nice.

I would REALLY like the Chanel J12 Superleggera. Too bad I don't have anywhere near enough money right now to purchase it.

, looks like I found myself a watch.

Cartier Santos 100 Oversize for daily wear and a Audemars Offshore Royal Oak.

I need a nice Daily wear that can take a licking. I have a Timex Reef but looking for something that can take the bruising of an engineer in the field all day.

Hmmmm. Them Seiko's are looking rather good. or a good Invicta Diver.

Yamakazi, I too am a fan of the movements. As of now, I'm eyeing a Patek Phillipe Nautilus for a next pick-up.

Ever pick up the Watch trades?

All 3 are Movado.

info on the chronograph movado?

I personally don't know much about it. Its part of the Vizio line. I took it to a Movado store at the mall and the salesmen just told me it was anolder, discontinued model. Said it runs about $1200. Then kept tryin to ask me to sign up for a 12 months no interest thing to buy a "young and hip"watch haha.

^That Movado came out in the Mid to late 90's. Everyone and their mother was trying to cop that when I was going to Morgan State...........

I could appreciate the movement and it's complexity and intricacies but for me it has to be balanced with the style and look as well Audemars justdoesn't do much for me for some reason. I like it plain and simple yet busy in a subtle way if that makes sense. No doubt the movement is beautiful though.

The Hublot is definitely a casual watch and I wouldn't even conside it with a suit. If I were going to get something specifically worn with a suitit'll have to be this Vacheron. I just love how slim it is and a very simple design, works well with suits.

Hublot's are beautiful though, I don't want to go overboard with 44mm case, a 40-41mm will do for me. Anyone of these will do for me.

I love the subtle rose gold in this Big Bang.

This is my target IWC Portuguese Automatic, I'm pretty I don't have to show you Yamakazi, but I love seeing it's pic.

I'm hoping to have an IWC collection like this, maybe 10-15 years from now. I can dream can't I!

How much for the Chanel?

Retailed for $5,300, probably my most expensive impulse purchase. If I would have looked at purchasing it at an authorized dealer instead of the ChanelBoutique, I probably would have saved a grand, maybe two. I love it though so theres really no buyers remorse.

Breitling Chronomat Evolution SS and Gold
Breitling Bentley Motors 6.75 Black Dial
Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Rubberclad White Dial
Jaeger LeCoultre Master Compressor Extreme World Chronograph

I really like those watches with the leather strap and a little ice on the bezel. How much and where can I find one? I'm really looking for one

I think I paid about $1,700 for mine when I bought it a few years back. I remember going into every store in the jewelry district on 6th ave to see who had itthe cheapest.

^^^
I'd say maybe to look for something with a more rectangular face and leather strap? It'll give a longer, leaner look to the watch than manyround-faced, steel bracelet models.
