What Sport has more athletically gifted players? NFL or NBA?

is this a serious question? its not even close imo...you have 250+ lb dudes in the nfl who are faster than some guards in the nba

NFL by far, you got cats like julius peppers running 4.4 40 yard dashes

all them dudes be fast, thats all the NFL is, it's size and speed.

Very generally speaking, football is much more about athletic prowess whereas basketball is more about finesse and precise skills (obviously, this is just abroad generalization, don't put too much into it). Should be no surprise, then, that football has much better athletes.

In fact, the nfl combine (mostly one big test of athletic ability) can totally make or break an NFL player. In basketball? not so much (as evidenced by KevinDurant's pretty weak scores).

NFL, no doubt. Sean Rodgers of the Lions can dunk. Now he might be 6'4", but hes also like 360 lbs.... all these dudes are beasts.

U should have seen when Warren Sapp won the footlocker slam dunk championship a few years back....

This question was asked last year on here...and then it trickled down to who was a better athlete between Julius Peppers and Lebron James

NFL. the nba has some genetic freaks (lebron, D12..), but the nfl as a whole is way more athletically gifted

i'll take the underdog and say basketball players are more athletic. yes its amazing to see a 280 lb man w/ blazing speed, but to me watching VC do a 360off of the wrong foot is phenomenal. but i'm partial to basketball. also, i think its a different type of athleticism

Overall, I see athleticism as being underutilized in the NFL as opposed to sports like basketball and soccer where there's constant motion and players aregoing full force for much longer periods of time.

Y'all can laugh but hockey has requires a lot of athletic skill as well...hockey players may not run 4.5's....but the eye hand coordination, speed ofthe game, and fact that you're on skates requires a lot of athleticism. I'd say best athletes:
1) Football
2) Hockey
3) Soccer
4) Bball
5) Baseball

Of the major sports of course.

I would say it's a tie between NFL and NBA. You have to look at the differences of each sport. In the NBA, you can't run that fast with a basketballcompare to the NFL because you still have to dribbles the basketball . I'm sure some NBA players can outrun an NFL running back, with a football that is.Hell, a FIFA soccer player is the fastest out of both the NFL and NBA. NFL players might be strong and fast but NBA is a combination of fast , strong, andvertical explosiveness. IMO, MLB is the worst, you got dudes with beer belly chewing gums.

I gotta give it up for soccer, you got 11 guys on the field and can only use 2 substitutions the WHOLE GAME! That means 9 other guys are running 90 minutes. That's insane! But to answer the question, NFL.
