i have some giftcards i need to burn but i think nike is testing the market with these shorts. if they sell well we are going to get a new price hike on HE shorts

Just got a pair of the Platinum Elite Uconn shorts ... They might be the closest your going to get to the real thing.. They even have the elastic waistband.. glad my Nike Plug was able to hook them up for me, the price on these are kinda high...

Post pics please! Are the UConn's actually black or is it dark navy?
I'm surprised that these are selling so fast at what's basically $95 shipped. The regular HE shorts are much better style-wise for every team besides UConn yet Eastbay/Football Fanatics rarely runs out of a style. I guess it's more Nike hype... or these are limited.

Yes they do. I just got my UNCs in today. I feel like they fit a little baggier than the Hyper Elites from last year which is disappointing to me.

Just got my platinum Uconns in....
Waiting for my camera to charge and then ill post pics later today. A few quick observations:
- These are extremely close to authentic
- I predicted buying a medium instead of my normal L and boy was I right
- Elastic waistband with the grippy material inside is
- red strings are a nice touch
- Laser etched "UC" on sides of shorts is 3M
- No lining in the shorts isbut boxer briefs/compression shorts under and youll be fine
- I LOVE the fact that these pay homage to the unis Allen/Okafor/Gordon etc. wore at Uconn

I second that. Out of all of 'em I think I want the 'zona ones, but I am intrigued by the Florida ones too for some reason. Can't really stand Florida but I like the colors and goes well with Durant stuff. Wish Texas had some.
