Is David Lee's career going to waste?

It IS going to waste b/c he could be playing on a contender putting up similar numbers.

To the detractors, I don't think anyone said he can be an all-star.

People are simply saying that he should be getting more than 30 mpg.

Like someone else said, imagine Lee on the Lakers in place of Kwame Brown.

Or on Denver over Kenyon. On the Spurs over whoever they have at PF. On the Rockets over Chuck Hayes.

the only way that its going to waste is because he could be a key contributor on a contender. he wont ever be that superstar player, but he would help any topteam

David Lee is that dude.

Who wouldn't want him on their team?

He's a glue/hustle guy who will crash the boards.

Offensive, defensive rebounds.

And if you foul him?

He shoots like 80%+ from the FT line.

That in itself sets him apart from all the Varejaos out there.

He's a guy you don't really have to run a play for, but he can still put up 10-15 points. Double double every game, if given minutes.

He brings heart, something the Knicks clearly lack right now. Isaiah is in fact, wasting his talent right now.

This is cause Isiah has ADD with his rotations. He puts in guys like Balkman every once in a while and then disregards him for a week. The same thing canhappen to Lee at times. He needs to get an 8-9 man rotation that is CONSISTENT.

Lee is like Varejao, he's supposed to go out there and play a role which allows the "go-to-guys" do their jobs

you're never going to see the Knicks run an iso for Lee, sure he should probably play 30+ mins a night but he doesn't need to see any more than 35mins in a night

I've always thought that it would be interesting to see Lee with Kobe, Lee could have been Kobe's Rodman. With the way Bynum was playing in the paint a guy like Lee is what they need, another scrappy forward who grabs redounds and runs the break

This statement is so untrue. He gets too few iso plays down low, however, he does get them.

if he gets the ball low post, and uses the pump fake, he's going to get a dunk. that's his only move. he had starter minutes last year, and he put upten and ten. as he gets better, so will his stats. he can easily average 15 a night. easy.

all the heart that he brings is negated by is lack of offensive talent. skills > heart, that's why he doesn't start.

i like david lee, if his name wasn't in every trade rumor, i would have his jersey. as he gets older he will get better, but as of right now he is stillgrowing. i don't feel that he is at the point where he being wasted. wade is being wasted in miami. garnett was wasted in minnesota, etc.

its not, because he has no offensive game. he just does all the dirty work. But his dirty work is much appreciated.

Career going to waste?

IT'S HIS THIRD YEAR!

You never know where he might end up or what may happen to that kinck team...

I remember playing him in high school.............Dude wore the cool grey XI`s MONTHS before they came out at a tourny we had at the kiel (savvis center) about10 years ago(damn......its been that long)

Whenever teams inquire about deals with the Knicks they almost always ask about the availability of David Lee. That should tell you something.

Isiah seems to think he should avoid all trades that involve the players that teams want. That means no Lee and no Balkman. He'll have to trade one ofthese guys if he wants to dump a huge contract on another club.
