thats bad but 12,500 seating? now thats a joke
place looks nice. although its crazy that it seems so large but it only fits 12,500.
only 12,500 seats?? now thats down right horrible for a new arena
You guys seem to forget that college arenas are more intimate and smaller. Pauley Pavilion holds a little over 12,500. The Galen Center onlyseats a little more than 10,000. Camden Indoor Stadium (Duke) holds a little less than 10,000.
Pac 10 Basketball Arena capacity (current):
1. Arizona (14,545)
2. Arizona State (14,19
3. UCLA (12.829)
4. Cal (12,172)
5. WSU (12,05
6. OSU (10,400)
7. USC (10,25
8. Washington (10,000)
9. Oregon (9,087)
10. Stanford (7,392)
This facility, much like the Galen Center, will probably be a multi purpose facility with practice courts and offices.
Only a few teams (less than 30) average more than 12,500 fans per home game. Oregon isn't a powerhouse, they don't need more than 12,500 seats. Oregon has small venues, Autzen only holds 54,000 (Officially), one of the smallest venues (WSU - Martin Stadium holds less than 40K; OSU -Reser holds a littleover 42,000) for Pac 10 football.

26,944 for yesterday's game. We have the best attendance in the nation w/ over 400K a year but that's b/c we play in a dome.

off the top of my head other then the Galen center most of them stadiums where built in the stone age.
Camden Indoor Stadium (Duke) holds a little less than 10,000.
It's Cameron Indoor Stadium. C'mon that's one of the most famous venues in the sports.

Syracuse is one of the 30 teams that averages above 12,500.

The replacement that they are proposing for Pauley Pavilion wont hold more than 13,000.
