Just noticed that we have had a virtually hate free laker game post this season. Ofcourse 3pledouble has his crazy predictions but he seems more of a laker fanthan not serving as entertainment. The ocassional anti kobe buk comments here and there but compared to the past, its been pretty peaceful and on a maturelevel.

So what has attributed to this turnaround? growing up? new strict board rules? winning? Kobe image repair? I mean i have been on niketalk for 8 years and NEVERhave laker post been this well mannered....well except for the last game with the suns...

discuss.

you can only hate for so long; after a while you have to look at yourself and say, 'why do i hate this man?'. when you can't even give YOURSELF agood answer, then you know that you're just wasting your time.

people never had/ have a legit reason to dislike kobe, they just do just because.

Its because he's pretty much kept his mouth shut and played basketball. Which is what he should do. I still dont like him, but i respect his game. He'sunstoppable at times, but he still needs to work on being a good leader. Backing up Kwame after that horrible display against the suns is a step in the rightdirection. It seems its the off season where he keeps shooting himself in the foot. He just needs to play basketball and help his teammates and most haterswill not have much to legitimatly say about him. But again, i still have a hard time liking him. I want to, there's just to much to overcome.

More or less. I like how he has become a leader of that team. It took a little while, but I like the way he is playing and acting. He is thebest player in the league though, simply unstoppable at times. Tim Duncan is still my favorite current player though

There's a lot to be respected about Tim Duncan. He is boring to watch but you have to admire his deciation to winning. Especially his willingness to takeless money to ensure cap room for future free agents and being able to offer current stars more money. Kobe should take a lesson from this, he is by far thebest talent in the league (although Lebron has a ridiculously good up-side). He just needs to take the focus off of himself, because whether he likes it ornot, he PUT himself in that situation with his statements and actions. Which is why i have a problem with him. My favorite player is Steve Nash, and mostlybecause I think he is a positive person who refuses to take the fact that he plays a game for a living too seriously. These players have been given an amazinggift, not only the talent, but the ability to make a living doing something the world does for FUN. I think Kobe is feels sorry for himself too often, and somepeople take acception to that. This is the first season in a long time that he seems to be FINALLY getting it. Shut up, play, and have a good time doing it.The world will watch regardless.
