Super Bowl XLII: YOU GOTTA bELIeve!!!!!!!! Greatest Super Bowl in History?!?!?

As great as the NYG defense was, Eli was just as good, he got them the points when they needed them. Not to take away from either, you can't have onewithout the other, or else the Pats would be celebrating right now.

Purple, I'm fairly sure, the Yankees last was 2000. NYK ain't done nothing, Jets? No.

I think he out on 188th street and Hillside Ave shootin his pistol in the air

Was that him? LOL jk. I actually drove by there (right after the last Brady hailmary, I had to go to JFK).

That was a great game! Both defenses got after it for quite a while. NY had a great game plan and they executed it to perfection. I've heard some of theso-called experts say the Pats offensive line may be the best ever, but the front 7 from NY was all over Tom Terrific all night.

It was good to see Eli keep his head and go after the Pats on the final drive. He kept his cool and played like a champion. That sack he avoided and the throwhe made was unbelievable. He showed a lot of athleticism and poise to stay on his feet and look down field instead of tucking and running. He deserves all theaccolades and I'm sure he will thank his defense until he's blue in the face!

A great game and an incredible ending!

wow.

and strahan's quote: i guess they are moving the parade from boston to new york.

classic.

p.s. niners still have most wins in a season + the tie breaker.....a super bowl victory. Niner fans stand up!

Three words:

CHEATERS NEVER PROSPER

To be honest, if the Pats didn't have Spygate + the new Rams allegations, I would probably have been rooting for them.

Just got in the house from the SB party and i must say:

OH

MY

GOD

Eli had a historical drive. Him breaking out of getting sacked and Tyree catching that desperation throw will go down in history and be shown on television forDECADES.

went out for a bit to have a couple of drinks with some friends. spot was still jumping. marathon celebration here nyc.

it must really suck to be a patriots fan right now

ny giants superbowl champs!

This was undoubtedly the greatest Super Bowl in NFL history.~

~I mean c'mon...everything was up for grabs here for the New England Patriots. They were literally only minutes away from winning the most meaningful SuperBowl since the 1972 season where the Dolphins prevailed. They set record after record this year individually and as a team. Tom Brady set a season record forTD's thrown and was only 1 Super Bowl victory away from joining Joe Montana and Terry Bradshaw for most Super Bowl wins. Randy Moss set a season record forTD's caught...and of course the ever so elusive perfect season up for grabs.

~Enter the 2007-2008 NY Giants

~Here's a team that last year had all sorts of dysfunctional issues within their team. Tiki Barber's constant criticism of Tom Coughlin was and hadbeen tearing and dividing that team all season up until he retired this year. Coughlin had to even vouch to keep his job to management prior to this seasonbeginning....and Michael Strahan at the last moment decided to rejoin the team to complete his quest to get that Super Bowl win.

~Giants start off 0-2. Shockey gets hurt for the season. Eli and the Giants start off slow but start winning some tough regular season games....the same Eliwho had incredibly high amounts of INT's throughout the season. They barely get in the Playoffs....a wild card team who wasn't favored to makeacchievements at all this year. They go on the road. Beat the Bucs, the Cowboys, the Packers...all the way to the Super Bowl. Unprecedented, not to mention EliManning was playing the best football of his career. They go to the Super Bowl toe to toe with the same 18-0 New England Patriots team that barely beat them inWeek 17. Underdogs would be a HUGE understatement. They come in and defeat arguably the new age dynasty of the NFL with all of the chips stacked against them.Eli Manning had a L E G E N D A R Y 4th quarter and an AMAZING

spin out of being sacked to throw the ball downfield and complete it. Comes back and hitsPlaxico off with the back breaking TD pass. AMAZING! Congratulations to the NY Giants and their fans.

~Undoubtedly in my mind, the biggest upset in NFL history, and the most amazing display of perserverance I've ever seen from an NFL team. Eli Manning tooka HUGE step on becoming a Legend....and now he and big brother Peyton back to back are Super Bowl Champions!!!!

great game...loved how brady was shook because of that vicious pass rush...dude was rushing throws and missing targets
when eli pulled out that pile and heaved that one to tyree....the whole party went absolutely nuts
love to see the pats lose although im a huge moss fan ill take his great regular season games and him going ghost for the pats in the playoffs...like usual
and when that clock stopped at 1 second...the dude who stopped it instead of letting it run out...YOU SIR ARE A HERO!!! make that defense go out on the fieldagain to face the shame and the unstoppable citizen eco watch wearing eli manning for one last second of their loss

just got back from an unbelievable SB party that involved an unforgettable SB game. all I can say is WOW!!!! props to the Giants on a great win. it'salways good to see an underdog team win against a highly respected team like the Patriots.

Yea yea yea dont like niether team personally im a saints roller but man i jus wanted my boy Moss 2 get that ring. I hate 2 see the best thing since Rice 2leave the game wit out a ship man

Now the real debate.

If BB didnt go for it in the third quarter on the 4th and 16, would the game have gone to overtime? Assuming they would have kicked the field goal, or evenpunted deep, do you guys think the outcome of the game would have been different?
