said he's rooting for the Giants, New England is driving on his block, they just can't park their car yet. he also said that if the Pats win,they'll be the 2nd best team all-time. he was talking about this being a different era now and that free agency brought Randy Moss and Wes Welker, eventhough they came in trades, right?

should be on again during Best of Mike and Mike. i think it comes on around 2:30.

it is a different era...salary cap and players now are FASTER, STRONGER, and clearly SMARTER. That dolphin team isnt in the top 5 list of GOAT.

You could argue that with the salary cap it became a lot harder to build an all star team... Mercury Morris is a fool.

whether or not we're driving on "his block", it's more like we're driving on "his bridge" and he lives under it.....dude's lost his mind.......
 
the salary cap era made it more difficult to build a dominant team like the patriots.

the whole reason why the salary cap and free agency as we know it today were installed was to produce parity within the league. for the most part, it hasworked decently. the difference is the teams that are able to use the cap well and to their advantage so that they could be good year in and year out withoutreally losing a step. we'll continue seeing a lot of the same teams in the playoffs [i.e. patriots, colts, chargers, seahawks, steelers, cowboys, etc], butthere's always going to be an influx of new teams getting into the big dance as well that weren't there in previous years. almost half the teams thatmake the playoffs a previous year miss out the next and this happens annually. sure, the patriots have been "dominant" in making the super bowl thelast few years, but every team realistically has a shot at making the super bowl if they play their cards right.

mercury morris still doesn't want to give the patriots the credit they deserve. last i checked, 19-0 sounds a whole lot better than 16-0. and last ichecked, the 1972 dolphins weren't breaking any records as a team or individually during their season like the 2007 patriots are.

Jeez, some people just do not get it.

Hey Murc, your team isnt the best team in the NFL anymore. PERIOD. I agree 100% with DeadsetAce. In today's game, its damn near impossible to build a teambecause of the salary cap, players are faster, stronger, smarter. Even if the pats DONT win the super bowl, IMO they are the best team to ever play the game.

This is the only reason why I want the Pats to win. Its like putting ZoDogg in his place when the Suns lose out in the playoffs for the umpteenth consecutiveyear. Same thing applies to Murc.

the funny thing is that some here on NT seem to be related to merc or at least must be shopping at the same supermarket as him, with all the salt that theyhave bottled up inside...
