there was some talk before the season about the raptors defending their division title, and how deep they were and whatnot. Boston has shown them who the realclass of this division is.

Toronto will be playing for pride in this one.

Boston has slow'd down drastically since they were steamrollin.

Depending on Toronto's D, I see a close and exciting game. If that defense + Bargnani doesn't show up once again then it'll be a blow out.

Posey is gonna be out with a finger injury. This might hurt their perimeter defense, and we all know how much Toronto loves to shoot outside.

Nah, they showed how to trade their whole team away for three years of success.

Either the Raps win close, or the Celtics win HUGE.

pretty smug from the guy who said "former celtic great" in a will bynum thread.

you must be from the knowledgeable part of team celtics right?

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not, but if you thought i was serious when i said that, then i feel sorry for you.

and its not like i said the real class of the NBA, or even eastern conference. I said division.

KG & Bargs with good starts.

@ Raps with these turnovers.

Anthony Parker. Shoot the Damn ball. When you dont, we then try and force the ball into situations we dont want. TAKE THE SHOT!

but if you thought i was serious when i said that, then i feel sorry for you.

whether you were serious or not is irrelevant. bynum never even played for the celts. is that some sort of clever joke im unaware of? going into a post andrandomly claiming a player was a great for a team he never even played for? your level of funny must be well above mine.

chris bosh, former celtic great. wow maybe i am just as funny as you.

stop fronting, you got caught being ridiculously unknowledgeable and you know it.

On to the game:

bargs needs to get in the game on d. he was looking for the refs to bail him out and he got blown by.

exactly.

actually im a little weary when he puts the ball on the floor. sometimes he'll make some magic happen but often he'll try to do a little too much.

turning the ball over.

juan dixon is not a point guard!!!!!!!!!!

oh, i see what your saying.. he was on the roster in the preseason last year, but i believe he was cut before the season started.

edit- err..i was a little off..

Bynum competed on the Celtics 2005 summer league entry in the Vegas Reebok Summer League, averaging 4.2 points to go with 2.7 assists and 2.3 rebounds per game in 6 appearances.

Clutch, this is the one time i disagree. Believe me, I LOVE it when he takes the three in the corner. Theres nothing sweeter (other than homemade cookies...)than a Parker shot in the corner. However, when he drives baseline, he ALWAYS makes a play. But what hes trying to do today is think too much, try and go overscreens that Andrea is setting for him. When he starts to think too much, he just has to get back to the basics, IE: Stick the three. He shoots damn near 50%from the three, and thats with a hand in the face. When the shot is there, he has to take it, EVERY TIME.

Andrea is playing well tonight. Glad to see him get out of his funk (hopefully not temporarily)

Now, on the floor right now, it is Tony Allen, Rajon Rondo, Kendrick Perkins, Paul Pierce, Leon Powe. Now, if we cannot take advantage of that lineup, wedeserve to lose this game. And not only we get outscored by that line, but we are throwing the ball away like its hotter than a hot potatoe. I mean, come onRaps! it was a 24-22 game, and then the Celtics put in their second line, and its a 38-30 game. The Boston Celtics second line is damn near close to a backupline in the NBDL (not bashing on them Celtics fans, just showing the difference between their starters and the bench). If we can hang with the Boston starters, why in the world can we not hang with their backups?

So far, out of the first quarter (and half of the second), there has been 5 turnovers of us not even looking to make a good play. Jose has lost the ball on thedribble twice, Bosh has thrown it away twice, Parker has fumbled the ball a few times, and there have been three over and back situations where it should havebeen an easy, EASY kick out. A team that turns the ball over like that does not deserve to win any games.

COME ON RAPS! PLAY SMART!

Alright, thats better basketball. Lets go for the big run now. We can do that against this lineup.

Did they call a clear path foul?...

Yes

Awesome, we just went on that run I was hoping.

And then a bad foul (I thought was a questionable call) with 13 seconds left kills it.

Jose is the man.

at our last 13 seconds. This is why we are not an elite team in the east. Because we slack off mentally and physically at times where we should pay extraattention.

Good first half, but we could have a 7 point lead going in instead of a 2 point lead.

Shooting well so far, especially Bargs. Keep it up Raps!

^ lets hope for good this time

Edit: Just because he is Kevin Garnett doesnt mean that you cant call a foul on him.
