you all are now guaranteed to finish ahead of the Skins until this man is gone....
Fassel, Ryan and Zorn
All of my reporting leads to this trio topping the coaching staff. They have yet to finalize deals but are the top choices for the positions and league sources said the ******** would like to announce the coaching moves en masse, rather than individually, and that could happen tomorrow.

Jim Fassel is expected to be named head coach, and the hold-up is negotiations with the Ravens regarding Rex Ryan. As I previously reported, contrary to other reports, the Ravens retain Ryan's coordinator rights and can block a lateral move. They appear to be doing that. The sides may reach an agreement, but Ravens ownership badly wants to keep Ryan, who the players love. Fassel and Ryan spoke as recently as last night sources said and Ryan interviewed with Snyder Sunday night, according to sources.

Zorn, as we were the first to report, interviewed for the offensive coordinator job. He is set to depart around 5:40 and if all goes well he would be the leading candidate to replace Al Saunders (with whatever fancy title they want to use).

Everyone is waiting to hammer the contract details out but barring a last second change of heart, disaster, whatever, this is how it's shaping up.

Sigh

Not the Eagles.

DoubelJs, take it from someone that knows, sometimes the best moves are the ones no one expected to work.

Why in the hell did they not just promote Gregg Williams?

Wait, they're letting Williams and Saunders go, too?

Bro, I hope so.....I think it's just that most of us thought that Gregg Williams was a lock for the job. Even after 4 interviews! The big word here was "continuity." We are getting what it seems like is a complete overhaul from the head coach down to the OC and DC. That isgoing to be a lot of change going into the draft, OTA's, training camp, and the regular season. For some reason, I don't see Fassel as any more thanas dude who could get fired by next season when other "big" names are out there on the market. I just find it odd that the Skins coveted a guy whoNO ONE was attempting to interview. From what I hear, Gregg Williams didn't want Vinny Cerrato retained (which is VERY understandable), and Dan Snyderdidn't see things his way. So what happens is, Gregg Williams doesn't get the job, and Vinny (Snyder's right-hand man) gets a promotion! Deepdown, of course I want this hire to work. Fassel has had success, but I don't know if he is just being set up to fail. Expectations are always high whenthe Skins are concerned, and I am just not too optimistic at this point.

I don't know y but I am not so angry about the Fassel move b/c The OC in Saunders and DC in Gregg Williams suit the ******** fine and the only thing Skinsfans need to worry about is not calling two timeouts in a row. But as I first heard 2day on ESPN, this move might move G. Williams out of here and that wouldbe a major loss.

Peep the sig. EDIT: I don't know why it's getting cut off, but it says "just say NO to Fassel."

This decision just makes no sense. You have a locker room full of players who respect Gregg and want to play for him, and they all just went through this roughseason and endured it together, and now you're going to break everything up?

Word is Dan and Vinny are blaming Al Saunders for the supposed offensive woes. Not that it could be a young quarterback in only his second year in a systemthat takes most people 2 years to learn, or the fact that almost half of the offensive line was injured this year. Let's not even look at how well theoffense was doing for the past 5 games of the year.

Seriously, if Snyder goes through with this, he is a straight moron. I THOUGHT he had learned something from Gibbs these past four years, but he's just asmuch of a $**!+#+ now as he ever was. This one is up there with firing Marty after we finished out that year 8-3, even with the garbage players we had due toCerrato screwing us over with all those old FA signings in the years prior.

If Snyder would just hire a GM, we would be a lock to make the playoffs every year. Instead, he has to stick his nose in every decision when he doesn'tknow jack +#%$ about football. Danny, you're a businessman, not a football mind. Get that through your head.

I swear we are about to endure decades of suffering under Snyder, word to the Orioles and Peter Angelos.

Eagles....easy 16-0...don't know why the rest of the NFC would even want to play their games...they are clearly playing for "loser" status in theNFC championship...
