Get Sam Cassell.

Dallas Mavericks just need to use that fudged Keith Van Horn contract that everyone has been talking about (I've still yet to figure out how/why this wouldwork), and go get a guy from a team looking for a salary dump that can help down stretch.

Here's Mine

4 Team Trade - Miami, Orlando,Charlotte, & LA Clippers

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/traderesult?players=307~2776~3016~1055~2985~264~2758~193~933~497~923&teams=14~19~12~14~30~14~14~12~30~19~19&te=&cash=

Miami Heat Get
PG Carlos Arroyo $4,000,000
SF Pat Garrity $3,818,750
PF Othella Harrington $2,376,000
C Marcin Gortat $427,163
Incoming Salary $10,621,913
Outgoing Salary $15,755,000
Gained Salary Cap $5,133,087
New Heat Payroll: $$67,358,159

REASONS FOR TRADE
1 - Miami does this trade to cut the salary cap this season and does a great job. Not having to pay a huge luxury tax.
2 - Miami gets a viable PG (Arroyo) in return and tries him out for the rest of the season to see if they might want to keep him.
3 - This trade doesn't hurt the Heat next season, being that all players involved, have expiring contacts, except Gortat who's making less than $500K.

Orlando Magic Get
SG Corey Maggette $7,840,000
PF Sean May $1,862,160
C Aaron Williams $1,750,000
Incoming Salary $11,452,160
Outgoing Salary $8,933,369
Lost Salary Cap $2,518,791
New Magic Payroll: $60,429,644

New Projected Roster
PG JaMeer Nelson
SG Corey Maggette
SF Rashard Lewis
PF Hedo Turkoglu
C Dwight Howard
with a deep bench

REASONS FOR TRADE
1 - Get some fire power for a playoff run. With the NBA Championship road going through either or both Detroit & Boston, Orlando gets some strength anddepth to help put them over the top.
2 - Orlando frees up playing time at the PG position by trading away Arroyo.
3 - Get a big man for depth and adds some size to the roster for only this season.
4 - Get a young talent in return, and a nice piece to play by Dwight Howard in the future.

Charlotte BobcatsGet
PG Jason Williams $8,937,500
C James Augustine $687,456
1st Round Pick (Orlando Magic)
Incoming Salary $9,624,956
Outgoing Salary $8,126,040
Lost Salary Cap $1,498,916
New Bobcats Payroll: $54,210,812

REASONS FOR TRADE
1 - Frees up salary cap space for next season to resign Okafor and maybe a big time free agent this Summer.
2 - Charlotte gets rid of May & Morrison, who have been unproven. And probably dont get any playing time, if healthy.
3 - Get a draft pick to add a role player & a young center.

LA Clippers Get
SG Ricky Davis $6,817,500
SF Adam Morrison $3,887,880
2nd Round Pick (Miami Heat)
Incoming Salary $10,705,380
Outgoing Salary $9,590,000
Lost Salary Cap $1,115,380
New Clippers Payroll: $65,549,393

REASONS FOR TRADE
1 - Thinking that Maggette will opt out. Clippers see a chance to get some talent for him and get a high draft pick a few years ago that has yet to provehimself.
2 - Guarantee themselves some cap room by getting an expiring salary, saving the team about $5 million next season.

i don't think this trade can happen due to morrison and may both being injured for the year (thus they cannot pass physicals)...could be wrongthough.
anyways, realistically speaking i want the lakers to pursue kurt thomas...he fit in well because he is a veteran, can rebound well, play excellentone on one defense and hit the mid range jump shot consistently. plus his contract expires this offseason if things do not work out.

:edit:

here's something i did awhile back:

ef21584ad1dc20ba85a1b677cf64c5a9ccc1727.jpg

lakers - get what they need in a reliable big man.
sonics - large expiring contracts this summer.
miami - solid small forward and point guard.

i want the pistons to stay as they are.

eventually i'd want to get rid of both flips..

but not at the midseason. maybe after this year.. trade flip for a draft pick or something, and the other flip gone in favor of bill laimbeer.

I know a trade like this would never happen but if I could make it happen I would

Wow, I really can't believe you said that.
Some of these Lakers fans...

Our team is fine right now, we could use a Chris Wilcox, Kurt Thomas kind of guy, but that's about it.
We need Kwame for the next 2 monthes, no way we trade him...

All I want is the Raptors to get a rebounder. I wouldnt care if he has two left hands like Kwame, or if he is slower than Robert "Tractor" Trailorwith two broken ankles, if he could rebound, thats all I want.

Only thing I would like the Mavericks to do is get rid of one of their swingmen, and possibly Juwan Howard. Other than that, I'm satisfied.

Maggette would have been amazing on the Mavericks though.

I believe that NBA physicals are for the teams trading for a player want to find out if there is anything wrong with the player.

For example if the NY Knicks are trading for Player A, they want to know about problems that may have been kept secret or not known of.

So teams knowing that Morrison and May are rehabilitating from a knee injury, can be traded for.

Let Cassell walk in exchange for some expiring contracts(or swing that Tony Allen/Scalabrine deal

) and a pick then shoot for Mayo, Rose, Bayless or Augustin this summer in thedraft. Re-sign EB and Maggette by any means necessary.

@ these fools trying to give my team all these hurt players.

Miami right now will not trade for any talent hoping to turn it around this year, unless its Bibby and Artest, but after seeing the Kings play yesterday andblowout NJ Nets yesterday with all 5 original starters they look good and it doesnt look like the Kings will do any trading.

Any trades that Miami will make is to trim down the salary cap, to lessen the luxury tax or not have one at all, but again those contracts have to expire thisseason, like I did in my proposed trade up top.

now for wishful thinking.

if there is one guy who i think perfectly addresses weaknesses and would fit in really well with the raps, it's this guy.

Sam Dalembert would be perfect for our rebounding needs.

I'm... not sold on Critt yet, so that would explain my accidental omission of him.

I guess... he's... ummm... I guess I sent him down to D-League for a little bit.
