Hope our D is here tonight. We've been losing because of it lately, so we gotta step that up. Especially against another high scoring team in Golden State.

JB23, I know you're a NJ fan so I've been wondering why Lawrence Frank runs a half court with no dominant big man post up player? I mean he wasstarting Jason Collins until recently

......... It doesn't seem to make sense to me. Especially when he's got Kidd at PG and two of the bestfinishers in the league.... the Nets could be much more effective running all day.... also I'm wondering what's up with Vince now.... does he stillhave the tendinitis knees because he looks like he's playing through pain.... There's no other reason I can see why he would change is offensivetendencies so quickly.... I'm asking all this because I believe that under the right system this team will be one veteran big man away (Webber?) frompossibly going to the ECF..... and I don't think Frank's offense is the right system for this team

Nets offense is so bad they'll struggle to get a win unless they play D(which they haven't been doing either).
 
I hope we can get this win tonight. We need one of these road wins.

Nets got Denver on Friday and the T'wolves on Sunday.

Exactly, Lawrence continuously disappoints me with his sets. I don't know what he thinks hes doing. The Nets were at their best when we wererunning. We need to pick it up defensively, because our offense sucks.
 
warriors are winning by 15+ cause the netsn seem like they just dont care and the oracle fans will drive them mad...

sure seems like it.

They just don't care right now. Frank has to go. I mean the talent is there but the offensive sets are terrible. I see no anger, urgency or disappointmentamong the players. The defense is real lazy. We're not moving the ball around fast enough..........................I can go on and on............

warriors are coming off a tough, terrible loss to the timberwolves. if they don't win i'd be very surprised

Lawrence Frank changing to the half court offense baffles me as well. Thats a major fault in the team. He changed it in training camp & itseems the player it benifited was RJ. But at the same time, RJ's game has changed along with the new style offense. This seems to be what almost all thestar players have to do with this team, change their style of play to fit this offense. RJ was always on the break, now he added a dimmension to his game towhere he has the ability to drive & get calls to get going at the line.

This offense though with Kidd & Carter, I don't know why this would be done. You see Kidd in the olympics this past summer? On the fast break all thetime? Amazing what he did. With Carter it would work wonders & surely kill these offense struggles. Carter was playing fine btw up until this new change ofoffense.

I don't agree with that at all & I also don't agree with his substitution patterns. It took him long enough to get Sean & Josh in the startingspots. But the players he rotates in & out & most importantly, when h edoes it, baffles me sometimes as well.

Frank has been a good coach since he took over the head position a couple years ago, but lately he has done a lot of faults with this team it seems (thisseason).

With Carter, he is still going through the ankle troubles he suffered from the Boston sprain earlier in the season.

ya NJ is not exactly a defensive stopper. I'm not sure if Lawrence is trying to develop the younger players or what.... will he change theoffense again come playoff time? Who knows.... I'm not sure...

ya I think he might be trying to develop RJ and some of the younger players or he might even be experimenting different offensive sets..... But this team needsa "real" coach.... someone like Byron Scott.. but I don't know if Kidd wants a "real" coach at this point in his career...

Hopefully the nets will decide to play tonight and maybe a complete game at that.

The half court game is because of vince carter and Lawrence not wanting to depend on the run (although if you listen to interviews with the players they saythat it is their goal to run the ball when they are clearly not doing so.) Vince doesn't always run the break, he does at times, but he doesn't do itconsistantly. That isn't knocking Vince for that it is just that he is a half court player that doesn't try to finish in the lane any more. He is ajumpshooter. Not a great one but he still draws the defense to him.

I would love for them to just run the ball but again, defense is key and they haven't been doing that either. Tonight is one of those nights that they willrun because they will match the warriors and their offense. Will they perform well..... will see. The warriors barely lost to the Nets at the Izod center.

I think this is gonna be a GREAT game.

I love the matchups between these two teams.
 
^JB 23, coming from Magic though is says alot since he does show up at a few Nets games during the year.

He is not an elite, he is still a superstar in my opinion but not top 10 anymore.
