in the GOAT's defense, I'm pretty sure he did that in anticipation of the irrelevant defender #14 slightly to his right who appeared to becontemplating a shot block attempt.

However irrelevant defender #14 recognized THEE Michael Jordan was the one in the air and rather than get testicles placed on his face or upper shoulder area,he'd pull a "Michael Cooper" and just fall back mid play. Thank you irrelevant defender #14. You helped make history

I agree. Even if the defender tried to block it a dunk would have done the job and a possible and 1

I dont see how the Cal Stanford play is overrated, nor do I see how the ball through Buckner's legs is overrated. That completely shifted momentum andwhether you believe it or not momentum is a big thing.

That was the first play that came to my mind before opening this thread.

Me too. Okay, it looked like he might get blocked but the defender got nowhere near him really - he could have just kept going and scored with his right hand.

kirk gibson 1988 world series game 1. i repeat game freakin 1. sure it was a great homer but ill emphasize again it was game 1. the dodgers won that seriesconvincingly 4 games to 1 and would have won that world series regardless if they won that game or not.

derek jeter catching a ball in fair ground and running and diving into the crowd and cutting his face up a bit....pokey reese made a much better player earlierin the same game but never was recognized...although jeter's play did come in the clutch, ill give him that....no need to dive face first into the standstho

You realize how good that A's team was? And how untouchable Eck was?

i agree...maybe because I am a giants fan.

also to add:
1975 - Carlton Fisk home run waving it fair. Sure they forced game 7...but it's the red sox...they still lost
