Dumbest thing said today. It's one game chief!

I'm not just talking about one game, this game was like the culmination of many events this year. Kobe is playing well but ehhh...I dunno I thinkI'm too hard on him since he's my favorite player. Trust me I don't WANT to say Bron is better cus I hate his guts. Today he stepped up in theclutch and Kobe certainly didn't.

how many times are the lakers gonna have a lead against the cavs and blow it. I still don't understand how people think that Lebron's supporting castis not as good as Kobe's.

If I had been out on that floor in Luke's position, the Lakers wouldhave had a better chance to win. I would have at least put SOMETHING up. Air ball it for all I care, but to not even get a shot off is ridiculous.

If we weren't in the lane so much on D it might have been different. Disappointing that those points were the difference.

And I know, if I had been out there Bron probably would have swatted it to the 5th row, but still...

That is true. It was a high pass and if he would have shot the ball as soon as he caught it, it would have been blocked. Luke still had to force up somekind of shot though.

Why do Cavs-Lakers games always seem to happen like this? We go up by about 10 in the 4th and then they come back and bring it down to the wire with themwinning.

on that play he had a lot of help and he needed help. but not on the 3 possessions that got kobe benched.

nah in the replays you can see bron was forcing kobe to drive but the second defender was in the paint for like 10 secs just waiting for kobe to drive thats why he settled for jumpers
Lakers were up 1 when phil took kobe out then we were down 4 when he came back

i think almost every superstar gets that treatment. u cannot stop a guy 1-on-1. but the thing was bron never let kobe get past him. that's goodfundamental defense. you NEVER leave anyone on an island by themselves if they're guarding kobe or lebron

Good god this better not be a repeat of last year

FS/FT: Luke Walton

The goods:
Great at choking
Cant shoot
Stupid passes

The bad:

Asking for someone that can actually play.

Luke definitley should have put the shot up...

But besides that it should have been Kobe dribbling to his right so it would be easier to get the shot up...

Hell of a game though...

good game!, lebron always played scared against kobe in the past, it is nice to see him finally man up and attack kobe offense and finally play defense on himwithout being afraid of kobe. BIG MENTAL WIN FOR LEBRON

Phil Jackson also needs to come up with some better out of bounds plays, especially late in the game cuz its always the same play and Kobe always gets doubleteamed. thats why we haven't seen many game winners from him recently cuz every time they just double team him and he has to throw up something and if hepasses it, his idiot teammates don't know what to do. On that play it looked like Luke was about to drive it, then realized at the last second they weredown 3.

@ these past 3 games, we could easily be 3-0 instead of 0-3 The only thing that would be worse if we lose to the Knicks on Tuesday. Phil deserves 5

that was ONE play. Kobe was trying to get past him like 3 times and he saw that dude camping in the lane and pulled back out. the other plays kobe justshot a fadeaway for no reason he didnt even try to get past. Then you see lebron at the other end getting a pick and going to the basket and NO ONE is therepaying attention. Cavs just played better team defense on Kobe than the Lakers did on Lebron and add to that Kobe's low bball IQ

with that said this is just another case of phil getting outcoached

We choked... as far as I'm concerned the only players who should have the ball in a 3-Pt. clutch situation are Kobe and Fish (Walton definitely is notincluded). But you can't be too mad, we had a chance to take the lead after that steal and Kobe got a decent look at the hoop.

i usually don't do a lot of finger pointing, BUT how in the hell do you not even want to attempt the last shot? As a basketball player with a supposed"high basketball IQ" you should know how much time is on the clock before you leave the huddle. And you caves fans don't give me the "we justplayed great D"......nahhh dude passed up 2 opportunity's to put up a shot

and as if you haven't noticed

YES IM MAD

man you guys are really upset over this arent you?

its not that serious, cavs own the lakers. you knew it was coming

Lets not forget to go with Lebrons game:

Hughes-Clutch shots during runs in 3rd and 4th
Big Z-16pts, probably 10 boards, and defended the paint
Varejao-Offensive boards, defense and timely buckets
Gibson-owned Fisher
Gooden-Doin work inside

To go with Kobes game:

Farmar-some shots and effort throughout
Luke-nothing
Odom-nothing
Fisher-some shots
Kwame-nothing but fouls
Rad-Nothing
Sasha-made shots
Ronny-effort throughout and defense.

Lebron has no help? He can sit down and rest cuz their bench won't let the game slip away. Kobe can't even sit with starters on the floor.
This team sucks and they are proving Barkley right every day.

How are you gonna involve luke in a clutch situation in the first place? phil is just ******ed
idk why he trusts luke so much

Who, me? I know you aren't saying I'm a Laker fan. I don't care about who won this game. I wish both could lose. I do hate the Cavs more thanthe Lakers.

Kobe should have pump faked on that layup and gotten the foul on Hughes. He would have AT LEAST made one of the free throws to tie it up and could have evengotten us up by two.

for someone who says they're a cavs writer, you obviously don't watch the games. First game this year, Kobe's playin with a strained groin andnot 100 percent, and this game, no bynum, ariza, mihm and only 3 minutes from Radmanovic. its a lot easier to beat a team when not 100 percent.

On that last shot by kobe, to me, it looked like he didn't know until the last second the hughes was right behind him and it affected his shot
