So me & my roommates are sitting here wondering why Arizona football sucks. I said it's because we don't have a huge facility like big footballschools.

There was a post a while back, anybody save those pics.

Well, here's our stuff at Texas A&M...

We're working on building a new practice facility, locker rooms, coaches' offices, meeting rooms, and some other stuff for the basketball teams. It's going to be attached to Reed Arena whenever it's finally done.

Here's a sketch of what Reed Arena will look like with the Cox-McFerrin Center (the additions that were noted above) added

...aTm has great facilities...

I love our facilities here, they're all really nice. It's a shame we can't use them to attract some of the top prospects though, we always losethem to OU, UT, etc. (which is understandable).

I've heard a couple of rumors that say that we're going to get the south side of Kyle Field closed in like we did the north side in 1999 (making thestadium into a bowl). Kyle Field would be huge if that happened, but I don't really want it to. For one, we wouldn't sell out games, other than maybethe Texas game. Also, I don't wanna see the facilities getting covered up, I like the look of stadiums that have the facilities visible in one of the endzones.

University of Oregon facilities...

That's all I can find for Oregon, I can't find any pictures of the locker rooms, weight rooms, or anything else like that. The Casanova Center and theEd Moshofsky Sports Center both look

Oregon's might be the top in the country...especially with that new basketball stadium coming soon.

You can't see it, but there are a few plasma screens in there for the players to play Xbox on if they so choose to

Not to mention the renovation to Hayward Field (which will be

A&M facilities are ridiculous as are most big football schools.

i've heard that we have some of the nicest in the SEC, especially with the indoor practice field.

nice stuff. except when you think about it, its a bit wasteful considering how mediocre some of these teams do. they should be perrennial top 5 with stuff likethat

^^yeah maybe. i was just looking at Kentucky's locker room and i noticed those 3 glass cases in there completely empty. hmmmmmm.

but if they have the money than why not.

Cal needs a significant upgrade...but too bad those hippies won't get off the tree.

I don't know a whole lot about Kentucky's football history, but that locker room looks brand new. It doesn't look like there is anything in thelockers other than helmets, so maybe it hasn't been opened to the team yet, and they haven't moved the trophies in yet...?

I wouldn't say we should be a perennial top 5 team because of our facilities alone, but we should definitely be getting a lot better talent than wecurrently are (Texas A&M). These silly kids always choose Texas or Oklahoma before us

I'm kidding about that last sentence (the silly kids one) of course. I'm not that dumb...

i knew someone would mention that. but yeah, the locker room isnew. we got a few trophies to put in there. we got 1 national championship (1950) and two SEC titles. people sometimes forget (or don't know) that BearBryant coached at UK. but we gotta make room for future trophies.

a couple other random facts:

UK was the first SEC school to play football.

the first African-american SEC football player played at UK.
