basically, i'm on an interstate and then a cop pulls me over... i thought it was a 65 mph zone but apparently not. either way, i'm 17 and i should begoing to court, how much do you think i'll have to pay?

edit: and i'm in ohio, i got pulled over in dayton if that helps too.

another edit: also, i don't live in dayton, i live 2 counties away and the for the court date, the cop said i should call some number on the paper and seeif i go to my local county court. so i'm guessing he won't show up if it's at my local county court

again, another edit: if the court hearing does move to the local court, it would go to the municipal court, right? if so, i may have better luck there cause mybrother knows his son. don't know if that will really help, but there's a possibility.

--Depends what state you're in. My friend just got one for $500 goin 70 in a 50 but it was doubled cuz it was in a construction zone. So it would have been$250. (California by the way)

200+ man

And Ohio been at the top of the list for the states with the most expensive speeding tickets in the country a FEW times. I don't know if Ohio's numberone now, but I'm 99.9% percent sure it's in the top ten.

they gonna hit you hard.... but, my advice is to send your ticket in and plead NOT GUILTY and go to court.. if its anything like NY, either the cop wont showup and the charge will be dropped due to lack of prosecution or you can make a deal with the cop/judge and get the points on your license reduced or have thefine lowered.

like i said ive done this only in new york... the last 3 tickets ive had in NY/VT have been dropped for various reasons

How does that work? Isn't the fact that you were gunned at a certain speed evidence enough? I'd think you'd have no case.
Going 30+ over thelimit is grounds for wreckless endangerment, a couple of my friends got it before, I forget the exact fine(s) but you could argue it down easily.

when was the last time someone got pulled over for going6mph on the highway.

if your lucky the judge might take the 21mph and knock it down to 19 which makes a difference.

My roommate's ticket was 400+ and he was going 92 in a 70. Different speeds but about the same amount over...but i'm in Ga

surprised they didn't take you in to custody.
you sure you didn't get multiple tickets?...speeding, wreckless driving?

who the hell drives 74 in a residential area?!...I'm glad you got caught...ridiculous.

anyway, I'd go with about $200, I remember one of my boys telling me he had to pay around $153 or something for his ticket, but I don't know where hegot pulled over or how fast he was going, but he told me he got hit up hard.

I'm guessing you were on 75? it shouldn't be THAT much.

Oh snap you are in OHIO

. You and Lebron James are facing the same charges..

he was actually doing 100 mph on a 50 mile zone -- and he is only facing $150 with a 4 point in his license.

^nah, i was on 35 but it merged on 49 right when i got pulled over.

man this makes me mad but i know, i sped and i have to pay the price.

if it is your first offense you will be fine.. I have been pulled over 9 times in a span of 2 years. My newest case is reckless driving in VA ( 92 on a65) -- i am facing up to 3 thousand dollars in speeding ticket fee alone..SMH. Thank God I only have 4 points in my license though- and i only got the pointsbecause the stupid Officer decided to show up and tell the judge that i was trying to elude him...and he had to chase me for 2 miles -- BS.... but yeah mystrategy always is RESCHEDULING- lol-They will most likely not show up. But the horrible part about it is that i have to write a letter to the judge.
