I did a search to see if there are any other general Firefox threads and they're just ones for single questions... y'all can use this one for anythingyou need regarding the browser.

Okay so I got Firefox yesterday when I saw that thread on the PicLens (which is pretty hot by the way) and I had a few questions about FF

- Where can you get more cool add-ons like PicLens (SHARE, PEOPLE!)
- Why do gif files move so fast
- Why don't things like music players on MySpace work

Those are just a few that I have so far and I picture that y'all would have more so post 'em here and give some advice as well!

I've been using it since it was called Mozilla Firebird, It didn't even have a install...you extracted a zip and launched the browser.

They changed the name due to CopyRights by Pontiac.

I dont know whats wrong with your firefox but mine can play the music players on myspace. And I have no idea why your Gifs are moving fast...maybe you justneed to let them load?

You can export your bookmarks every few weeks. Its basically a backup of all your favorites and if you ever lose, reformat etc. you can import the list back.

You guys should recommend some good useful ones for everyone too.

And nevermind, my music players all of a sudden work now. And I realized that the fast moving gifs are only for gifs uploaded on myspace as profile pictures...I thought something was wrong because when I open it in IE, it's regular time.


EDIT: Avoiding the double post

Is there any way for Firefox to not automatically download everything to the desktop? Can you just open things in another window or avoid the DL box insteadlike how it is on IE?

when browsing NT collections, why don't all the images load? When I'm in the thread, I see a few pics, the rest are blank. This doesn't happen onIE, how do I fix this?

Go to TOOLS/ OPTIONS / Main...its like half way down the window.

Ad-blockPlus and the Filterset G extension are a must.

I'd highly recommend IE Tab, Adblock Plus, Adblock Filterset.G Updater, and Gmail Notifier (Of course only if you use Gmail, and when it starts workingagain. This extension is currently broke.)

Anyone know how to get my "Recently Closed Tabs" to be highlighted when I close a tab? I added the Tab add on where you can lock tabs and then iuninstalled that add on, now I just use the regular tabbing option but when I close a tab my "Recently Closed Tabs" option is not highlighted andwont show any recently closed tabs.

Anyone else having trouble accessing niketalk with firefox? cause everytime i go to niketalk it freezes up.

I was an Opera disciple until it crashed 4 times a day. Switched to Firefox and it hasn't crashed in months even tho it's slower. I'm on Beta 2 andit's great but the bookmarks section is still confusing to me. Still buggin, Beta 3 coming next week I believe.
