I just got a $20 off coupon code from Bluefly but you have to purchase $150 or more. I'm not sure if it can be used more than once but here it is. Good luck to whoever gets to use it. It expires 11/15/07.

If it's only a couple of hours, try and cancel it and if the size is still there, try ordering it again. Sorry, i would have posted it earlier but I just got back from playing basketball and I received this in the mail. It's worth a try though, good luck.

If I'm not lazy tomorrow, I'll put some up. I doubt my camera will do them justice though. Honestly, I think the a cup is the ugliest shoe I have ever seen (well maybe next to jordans) but when I saw it in blue patent, it called to me so I had to give in. Try to go see them for yourself they look far better in person

You can pretty much compare these sneakers with high-end dress shoes, with proper care, these sneakers will last a long time. I know your paying for the brand name as well but their quality is a lot better than any shoes Nike or Jordan has ever produced in years. Most of my sneaker's from Gucci, Prada, Paul Smith and Ferragamo are flawless. The shoes should be retailed at about half the price but I can't really say there are plenty of alternatives with a great quality for a cheaper price.

the deal is that even though you may think the leather/construction on the sneakers may be better in quality than a lot of nikes/jordans, it is miniscule in comparison to the difference in price. if you look closely at stitching around the midsole, take out the insole and look at what's underneath, i'm sure you'll see that this is true. gucci just doesn't really care what kind of rubber it uses for its outsoles, if you know what i mean. it also doesn't help that they are made in the same factories (i will try and find the source for this but i can't seem to right now). yes, at half price they may be worth it, but then you're saying that you'll pay the extra 200-400 just for that extra logo and small amount of "quality." unfortunately, sneakers are not built to have replaceable outsoles, and the same glue that goes into lower end outsoles also goes in these "high end" sneakers, which completely undermines the purpose of a quality upper/construction.

Between Jordan's and Prada's/Gucci's, it's only about a couple of hundreds (about a hundred or so when on sale) difference and about $50 with Paul Smith. Quality and built on Prada's have decreased and slightly with Ferragamo's but I have learned that they are still a lot better than most Nike's/Jordan's. Visit the Jordan forum once in a while and you'll see how bad the quality of retro's now, it's definitely not worth the price.

i'll agree that b/w the higher end shoes and nikes/j's there is a small difference, but that's not my point. there are even cheaper alternatives or ways to get to those shoes at a discount that makes buying those shoes a lot more reasonable. there is hardly anything that's worth its weight in retail, especially for higher end sneakers, there are rarely any sales, if at all, and paying full price for that kind of stuff is ridiculous. at least nikes and j's go on sale all the time, bringing prices down 20-40%, which, imo, is "worth it." again, like i said, those companies outsource their shoe productions, where quality control can hardly be accounted for.

Quote:
Where they're made doesn't mean a thing to me--if they make them in the same factory as Nikes, I wouldn't care. As long as they're made with quality materials, I'm good. And they are. Maybe not as good as a $1,000 pair of shoes, but I think by now we all know that "you get what you pay for".

I plan on going to the store to purchase them but I need to see actual pics of the shoe to motivate me to go to the store and buy them.

Here's a code for $30 off of $150+ purchase but only for first time customers.

Code: AFF30

Here's $15 off of $100+ purchase but not sure if it's only for first time customers only or not.

Code: AFF15

Hopefully those works.

RFX45, wondering if you or anybody else could help me out with the gucci sizing. If you could just throw out some ballpark figures if possible when converting G to US sizing. When I got my shoes, I was just so mad that it was G instead of US so I shipped them right out without even bothering to take comparison pics with my other shoes. When I put on the 8.5G it felt maybe like 10.5-11US? Is that at all accurate? I just don't want to purchase another pair without knowing for sure they'll be the proper fit.

thanks in advance.

I haven't made any recent purchases in a while. The last ones I bought were the Jack Purcell's. I've been kind of busy and occupied, especially since I just got a new car two months ago. I also haven't found much that interest me at the moment.
