while i kinda like how these look without the larger strap, i couldn't imagine cutting mine like this dude did (selling his on feebay):

I think what he meant was the American style of lacing up sneakers as opposed to the European style which is how those Ballys are laced. Otherwise, i too am at a loss.

i own those and the blacks, and can clearly tell they're not fake.
 
^^ correct.

The half bar/half cross factory lacing that has come into vogue on high end sneakers is not a good look IMO.

I really like those blue LV Acapulco
sneakers. They also come in a burnt
orange color that's really nice too.
The style isn't very original but I
still like them.
 
yeah, they're just well worn. the finish is actually spot on.

guess you'd just have to own them to really know. i could take a pic from that exact same angle and prove it but i don't feel like it right now.

gotta admit, i like how they look without the big strap, but i won't cut mine. thinking about buying those tho so i can keep mine fresh, they're my size, but he's asking way too much for 'em.
 
The Hudson's did release. I have a pair. They were only available to VIP clients at select locations. I posted a picture of mine in the thread a LONG time ago.
I never knew those Pink Jasper inspired boat shoes released though. I would purchase those!

Let me stop talking about the Kanye's, since nothing is available anymore...
