i second this. funny thing is that dallas is our fashion capital for texas but houston stores gross more than those in dallas.

It actually sold out at NM but I think the stores still has some pairs. I just need to call around. Definitely check out your local NM is possible.

I'm wary when ordering from Matches since they already charge around $30-$40 for shipping and then they ship via DHL and I've heard horror stories with customs fees with DHL. I read this oen guy got charged $150-$170 in customs fees in addition to the shipping fees. Really not worth the risk even for that price.

Yup that's true about matches. I bought those orange Balenciagas with the clear sole a few posts up from matches. They are cheaper but after shipping and the customs fee, it came out to about the same price if I were to buy them locally. The customs fee for me was about $30. Don't get me wrong though matches has great customer service and ship out real quick. Just the shipping price and customs fee gets you. At least the packaging from matches is real nice, shoes come with these really nice looking boxes.

I've DHL is the worst, FedEx is pretty bad too, once got hit close to $100 in fees not including the $35 I paid to ship from Portugal on an item that cost $200. I've never gotten hit with customs fees from USPS though so I always prefer the shipper to ship via local post office or EMS that hands it off to USPS. Tracking sucks via USPS but at least no extra fees.

What happens if you dont pay the custom fee? I got some Gucci Shades a while back and FedEx sent me a customs bill for $20.

They send it to a collection agency, with FedEx at least. They don't even send a second notice, if you ignore it the first time, it goes to collection right away. My guess is from then on it'll be the collection agency that'll bug you until in the end they report you and it affects your credit. I would ignore it but when FedEx first held my order in custom they had me fill out some paperwork which included my social security and license # so for me there really isn't any escape. I figure if others didn't fill out the same form they might be able to get away with it and just say you never got the bill.

^^^^ they also used DHL for my shipment. I guess I was lucky that my customs bill wasn't as high, maybe te declared value they put wasn't high?

Oh thanks. FedEx has sent multiple bills (at least 3). I figured they blacklist your name and address. Possibly hold any future shipments to extort the $20. Luckily I didn't use my real name but an old DBA.
Has anybody seen the new "MENS" Jimmy Choo shoe line in person? I am waiting for Houston to get them so I can see what they look like in person.

I broke down and ordered these two. I was trying to see if my local store would get them.I hate ordering at high end store they never get my order right or something is not as it was presented. SA's generally suck and don't know much about their products.

i've ordered from Matches a month ago and took advantage of their free shipping promo. No hassle.
the only problem i had was that they ship to billing address. i usually have items shipped to my work address but oh well.

Went to Balenciaga on 22nd, and they had some new colorways of the clear soled shoes. They also only had the white w/ grey midsole shoe everyone is looking for.
