I posted this picture before about the cracked spike and the boutique is fine with doing the spike replacement but they brought up a point that I didn't know. The cracked spike also happens to be off center. The yellow arrow head points to the wide gap that resulted from the misalignment of the cracked spike's inner pin placement. Its placement is not aligned like the rest of the spikes, leaving a bigger gap to the right and smaller gap to the left between the adjacent spikes.  I'm debating whether to do return for store credit and try to get another pair in my size from boutiques that hasn't gotten them yet or just keep them (with new spike replacing the cracked spike). My question is about the misalignment. In your experience and opinion, is this misalignment something I should be concerned with that I should not keep the shoes or is this normal with these louis spikes because of the nature of its production or something?

I don't think the misalignment caused the crack in the spike, it would most likely be an issue with just the aesthetics.

If you really like them, just get it repaired and keep them.  If the misalignment of the spikes is going to bother you, return them for the store credit and get something else.

Ok. If they were yours, would you keep them or would you expect higher quality (the spikes to be all aligned pretty well in this case) from this brand? Just trying to see other people's level of quality expectation with the high end sneakers like these louis spikes. I'm new to these high end shoes so I'm not sure what is considered insignificant imperfection and what not within this high end shoes' world.

If I really liked that color way and there wasn't another pair that I could easily exchange for, I would just keep the shoes.  No one is going to notice that one spike is off by 1/8th of an inch, especially if they're on your feet.

However, this is my opinion.
 
I have a pair of the Balenciaga violet cotes (blue pleated) size 42 (US 10) for sale RETAIL worn once for a few hours (got them yesterday, wore them yesterday), dont fit me right. Comes with the Balenciaga receipt. PM me if you're interested.

My wallet is not ready, glad it's spring haha. Anyone kow of a place that will do a great job changing the color of the sole? I was going some gooleing last night and ran across some reputable customizes, but for some reason a couple of them stated in the FAQ page that they don't re color the sole, and gave no reason why.

I'd rather not do a DIY on a pair of $1600 shoes, so i'll keep asking around.
 
def need the whites to round out my arena quartet! looking into a pair of pleateds when I go to HK this week *keeping fingers crossed* then im good with the luxury shoes game :lol:
