Practically every high end brand has a chuck Taylor rip off. I'm used to it by now. Originality is rare in the high end world

You mean Nike Vandal's Raf Simons BLATANTLY COPIED!!! :smh: I get beyond annoyed seeing High End brands jack other brands designs. It's bad enough Christian Louboutin did it with the Louis Flat (Converse All Star Chuck Taylor) but those Raf Simons pair is utter disrespect. I'm about originality and design when it comes to high end shoes (Quality should be a given) so it's a slap in the face as a consumer when they can't think outside the box.

happens everyday b

from bape stas being Air Force 1 parodies, to high end brands copying each other every season. how many brands got "Biker jeans" now?

Yup lvs men's shoes are a known culprit. They copied every classic shoe design in the book  they OD'd on the nb look alikes though

As for high-end shoes being inspired and not being entirely original, please get over it. The Raf Vandals, they feel almost a completely different and have a better silhouette than the original Vandals. It is less bulky and lower profile, they improved upon the design tenfolds by simply removing the high toebox. To be quite honest, in a blind test where I do not know the brand, put both shoes inf ront of me and I'd pick the Raf version 10 times out of 10.

And the Louis Flats aren't exactly chucks, hell Supra comes to mind first before chucks. Not every sneakers with cap toe are chucks.

Belstaf, Saint Lauren, Lanvin, Givenchy, Rick Owens, and Marc Jacobs all have biker style jeans/pants.

Pics?

Keep in mind we are looking for the ones that is an alternative to Balmains.

Even SLPs zip bikers aren't really comparable. Lanvins is also completely different and aren't jeans. Rick Owens? Haven't seen though unless youa re talking about the real skinny ones that has a front flap, those aren't the same and aren't bikers. Belstaffs is ok but it's just a ribbed knee, not really the same Balmain design. Haven't seen the MJ version. Rogue is the only one I know that has made one that looks like Balmains.

they're all "biker style" tho. the raf vandals don't look exactly like the Nikes either

Misleading post then because everyone knows people have been looking for Bamains biker jeans alternative from the other thread and Rogue is the only one that makes em.

There has always been biker jeans from other brands, all you have to do is add some stitching on the knee or thigh, it's nothing new but when you say biker jeans you know that this is what comes to everyone's mind.

That is the quintessential biker jeans.
And technically SLPs are moto style, not biker. Ricks aren't biker at all and others aren't even jeans, Lanvins are made of wool and are more trousers than jeans.

But that's what everyone wants and looking for, it's like designer brands making biker/perfectp jackets, they'll essentially look like this:

They'll put their own twist and touch on it. That is pretty much what Balmains biker jeans has somewhat become, at least to those who doesn't want to spend $1k+ on a pair. Anything that doesn't look similar will simply not do, you need that ribbed details by the thigh.

Biker jeans isn't even really Balmains original design though, they stole that from functional biker jeans.

I don't know, I guess I just don't relate the two, like Raf copying Vandals, it's essentially the same shoe but better. You see it and it is the vandals right there. With these other "biker jeans", you see them and you don't think Balmains, they are just jeans with random stitching design. Does that make sense?

You just got my hopes up I guess. :\

rfx45 rfx45 first time I saw them SLP bikers I definitely thought about the Balmains, or any other jeans with zippers or extra lines at the knees, pockets, ect. it's just a trend, but that was just one example of brands being inspired by other brands

Absolutely love those Vandals and want a pair in the worst kind of way. I don't understand why Raf doesn't pump them out like Balenciaga pumps out the Cotes.

Because they did not sell well the first time around. Most sat for 50% off or more.I forgot where I got mine but I believe it was from Yoox and it was discounted real deep.

One of my biggest regret is not buying the leather version when I had the chance. This is an insta-cop if they ever come out again.

They are all in the biker style, the Lanvins are the least closest example, but ribbed knees is the main defining feature. No one does Balmain like Balmain, except Uglybros. The RO were cotton, with nylon ribbed patches at the knees, I believe late f/w or early s/s 14 collection. Belstaffs looked really good when I saw them at Barney's,nice waxed denim, especially for the price $395.

I know which you were talking about.

Not too fond of the Belstaff, was hoping you were talking about something else. The ribbing isn't as nice and looks a bit lazy just being placed in the knees w/o much thought.

Not many considers these Ricks a biker jeans despite it's ribbed knees.

I actually really wanted the Lanvins but sold out in my size and the details are very minimal, especially if you get a darker color, the details simply blends in. Plus it is really tight in the calves.

But like I've explained before, you say biker style, people look for Balmains signature biker jeans. That was what I was looking for.

Quick change of topic from biker pants, but anyone got sizing info on Buscemi 100mm?
