Anyone know a good product/technique to clean the fabricy material on these SLPs?

Try one of those bleach pens I guess? Just make sure it doesn't get to the leather/suede?

Whats up NTers? So Ive been stalking this thread for a little while now but this marks my first official post. Please welcome me! haha

Anyway just got a little bonus from work so decide to semi-splurge on some new shoes.  Ordered a pair of all black SLP's at 50% off from Matches which should be getting in on Monday or Tuesday. Will post pics when they get in.

I'm also planning to buy these used white Arenas  (havent paid for the them yet). Dont care that theyre beat up since I got a solid price ($270) and can prob clean them a little, but I was hoping someone could verify if they are actually are legit before I go ahead and pay.  Some differences from the current Extrablancs Im noticing are that (1) there is no serial number on the inside of the tongue which seems weird and (2) the metal thing in front is white on these instead of the usual gunmetal color. Other than that they look like legit Arenas so I was wondering if maybe these were just an older model or something.  The guy also doesnt have the box anymore which obviously would have been helpful.  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

P.S.  - sorry if this was the wrong thread to make this post

Why would anyone want to spend $270 on shoes in that condition. $270 can get you a brand new pair of Margielas on a good sale.

Those things are hurt. :x

Even the sole is worn down on the heel and in the front.

I've shed my thoughts on this whole topic before but do you man.

BTW, welcome to the site!

Is there anything specific about them that make you say theyre fake other than the 2 things I pointed out?  My friend has an actual pair of the high quality fakes and these dont seem to have some of the flaws that those do (ex.- extremely oversized toebox).

As a side note this would be an ebay purchase so I could technically just order them and bring them to the NYC boutique and have someone verify them and then just file a paypal dispute if theyre fake.  So no real risk here but Id rather avoid the trouble if theyre for sure fake.  The seller does have really good feedback if that helps (over 99% positive).

Regarding spending $270 on them,  I really just have a thing for the all white Arenas that I cant explain, but I cant bring myself to spend 600 on them seeing as how theyll likely end up in this condition pretty quick anyway since I would plan to rock them regularly. Might as well save the $300 and get another pair of shoes. If/when I pay retail for Arenas then Im gonna get the black ones.

I couldn't imagine putting my feet in someone else's shoes like that. I don't know enough of the comparison between real and fake to weigh in on that and I'm not about to study my pairs and those, the inner lining looks like a cotton material on those but I vaguely recall early pairs having differences. With how worn those are, that could be the case because look at what you can see of the soles/the midsoles and how much is worn off on the toe & heel. If it was a leather lining I feel like they'd be completely molded to the dude's foot too.

I'm sorry but they're just way too beat to justify buying period but especially not for that kind of money.

Damn well thats disappointing.  I dont actually mind the wear on the upper part of the shoe to be honest but yes the soles look pretty messed up.  I didnt really give the pics that thorough an inspection before bidding which was foolish on my part.  I contacted the seller and he offered to do $225 to go straight through paypal to save on ebay fees so thats slightly more tempting but even so still cant decide whether theyre fake or not.

does anyone know of any sort of restoration service or something that fixes worn down soles like that on sneakers like a cobbler does for dress shoes? does that even exist?

@raty i can't speak on fake or real but I think the moral of the story is to let that s*** go. For 270 u can get way more statement piece high end shoes if u shop from them instead of taking a "deal" on these crunchy arenas.

those Arenas have been thru it. let em rest in peace.

Save your ones and buy a new pair... you'll feel way better.

Man don't pay 270 for those beat up shoes. You can't just save another 300 and buy a DS pair? You sound like your gonna get your money's worth by rocking them everyday so why not?

Yea you guys are right, not gonna pay for em.
Worst case ill get a negative feedback ebay and ruin my 100% positive rating. Oh well.

Those blue/black SLPs are sick. Almost making me regret just buying a pair of Royal 1 Js. Almost.
