Probably won't sit, they are sold out in most sizes at a couple of spots. Only place that has the all over print in my size is Antoniol for almost $900 and ssense and they move the most stuff for full price I have ever seen. I'll see hope the slip-ons workout for me. I'll hit you guys up with sizing info and pics when they come in.

Ok guys, I could use some help picking out a summer shoe slip-on or sandal. I really like the Givenchy floral print, but might be open to other floral suggestions. It is between these three right now.

Thanks in advance for your help. You know what time it is….
WHEN PEOPLE SEE GIVENCHY THEY KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS.

But get the slip on's and let me know what the sizing is like, interested in a pair.

ALSO, QUICK UPDATE ON THE PAYPAL THING.

After 20 days of deliberation, PayPal finally got off their ***** and took a look at the pictures I sent in and sided with me. Took forever, but all's well that ends well. Shipping back today.

Pretty disgusting the used shoes people would put on their feet...Just cause they Yeezy smh. Dont understand how guys could put on clean clothes with dirty shoes. Taking Distressed to a whole new level

people stay on the hypebeast hunt "just cause they yeezy" I wear Jordan's like that, everybody style is different. some people still wear hats with the stickers and tags hanging off there's all different ways to live lol

It's just funny for anyone to make blanket statements based on opinion. I'm not a fan of the Buscemi's, but people have said the quality is high and they like them. While I am not a fan of most of Riccardo Tisci's designs these days (techno tribal?) He has a good piece here or there, and most his collections sells out at crazy prices. As you grow up, you realize you don't speak for everyone and just because you don't care for something doesn't make it whack, played out, or ugly to everyone else on the planet.

Define played out? Replicated by countless bootleggers, and cheap knock offs they sell at stores in the mall "in the style" of Givenchy? Or played out as not considered the freshest, dopiest **** you can spend $700 on a t-shirt and break necks at the club? It's all relative to opinion but in the high fashion world of gaudy and rakish clothing, I would say no at the rate it sells. This will be my first purchase of anything Givenchy in well over a year, so while I don't think its played out, the designs weren't anything special or ground breaking since then.

I would say RT went through an incredible hot streak, with lots of media attention because every celebrity was wearing a shark or a Rottweiler t-shirt, just like the Balenciaga arenas. Are Arenas played out? Maybe, its hard to create something new and fresh while at the same time keeping the buzz that made them hot to begin with.

I don't understand why a man would want to wear flower prints
Because they are masculine enough not to be concerned about what closed minded or homophobic people will think of it. To much worrying about what other men wear on this forum. For example Lebron is pretty idolized and he seems to be ok with them, even has a couple shoes. KD has 2 floral shoes coming out, nothing wrong with that guy. Its all personal preference.

Literally every other day there are  in this thread.

Pick ups/info one day and the next just straight laughs lol

idk what kd and lebron have to do with it but ok lol. maybe it's supposed to be ironic like Cam'ron wearing pink type of thing

Ironic? Cam'ron wore pink because he liked the color. You do know pink was originally associated with baby boys because it was considered more masculine then blue. Lebron and KD and countless other men were floral patterns because they like them. Seems to be a simple concept. They are wearing what they like with out worrying what other random dudes think, leave that to the ladies. I expected more from you Mart then this narrow mindedness, your normally pretty level headed.

Whatever people are associating with pink, there was a time when wearing essentially any of the brands/style of clothing of the designers frequently mentioned in this thread would have gotten dudes the same looks they fear receiving if they wear pink shoes or floral prints.

I find it ironic when dudes frequent a website visited almost exclusively by men, and dedicated to fashion and shoes, and then get really sensitive about things that might cause other people to question their "masculinity." ...Like, dude, you already spend ample time hanging out discussing shoes with other dudes - if you're narrow minded enough to think people might think of you a certain way, that genie was out of the bottle the minute you started posting here.

People stay claiming they buy stuff like that in this thread because it's a more "grown up" style, but what good is that for anybody who still thinks like a kid?...

Carry on.

It got corny and hood.

They do have nice designs on some pieces but you know its played when their designs are knocked off by more mainstream brands. Their other designs get the pass just cause of the name, which is true of alot of brands. Fsct is their exclusivity and label get them moving. You factor in athletes and newest rapper wearing them, it adds to its "value." Most dudes look way too extra wearing high end clothing. Very few pull it off cleanly. That goes with the floral print stuff, its going to look super extra if not done cleanly.

In any case, not knocking on anyone, im more of a simple kind of person anyway. Just an opinion.

I don't know if that opinion entirely valid. To say Givenchy is only held afloat by celebrities and that RT's designs are mostly no longer relevant without them is a pretty bold statement. I think it only looks "corny" because of the overstauration, but once the hype dies down (along with Balenciaga's
laugh.gif
) RT's designs will stand back out just as they have been. Most people's knowledge of Givenchy ends at around the '11 seasons with the rottweilers so a lot of people think this is just a sudden burst of popularity, but RT's been going strong since back when Kanye was blogging himself in all caps.

Well said, @ BIP ROBERTS. As for Givenchy they've been around for awhile however the honest truth is that they really didn't really gain that "mainstream" artist/athlete attention until the release of the the whole entire Rottweiler theme, graphic heavy pieces. I knew of Givenchy for a long time only because I remember when my dad had the cologne which he never used. As for the clothes, probably when Kanye was wearing that red flannel with the gold accents on it. I know this is the shoe thread so I'll be brief regarding the clothes. Givenchy's recent season is TRASH. Everything is reused and abused from the past successful known seasons which date back to the Rottweiler graphic themes. It's funny because if you go back to their season's prior to the Rottweiler season they don't have nothing graphic at ALL. :smh: Let's be real people high end men's fashion is just a more polished street wear now. If anybody that knows high end men's fashion like that prior collections look like dude's walked out of the closet with the lights off. Rick Owen's still kinda sticks to that baggy all black aesthetic. To get back on track those Givenchy floral sandals are nice though however actually rocking them I don't know. Oh yeah that price is ABSURD!

Kanye/Jay Z blew up Givenchy with the black people.

Givenchy was/will be fine without the black dollar.

High end doesn't need black consumers to survive.

Eh, I don't want to make this a race thing but I will say this. Givenchy may be fine without the "black dollar" however it was the black influence that has propelled Givenchy's menswear to what it is right now. Let's be real you will say Kanye/Jay-Z blew up Givenchy for black people but no, Kanye/Jay blew Givenchy up for every race regarding men's wear. Again, if you look back from the start of Tisci becoming the creative director in 2005 he didn't really start playing with the graphic prints until 2011. Say what you want but influence is everything and if not for the black influence some of the brands have got, they might still have been in the negative *cough* Versace. Why do you think all these high end brands are now making sneakers a priority in their collection? Why do you think Christian Louboutin started making up to size 48.5 or Balenciaga making 48? Why do you think Salvatore Ferragamo a fine Italian brand specializing in shoes and suits would make "big boy" buckles of their alternate logo for their belts? Or Giuseppe Zanotti showing so much love to black artists? The evidence is clear as day the black influence is strong, we culture!

Past few years of Givenchy is definitely streetwear influenced, hell his latest runway show was set-up like a playground bball court.

With that said, Givenchy, like most high-end brands makes most of their money on accessories and frangrance, this may also include shoes as well. Givenchy also still offers their suits and less streetwear inspired clothes so it'll be here to stay. The current rise in popularity definitely helped the sale of it's accessories and fragrances/colognes.

To me, Balanciaga is in a slightly different ballpark. Yes their sneakers are booming right now but their clothes still tend to be minimalistic that 5-10 years from now it'll still be relevant. Hell I'd wear plenty of Balenciaga clothes they made 10 years ago and I have no problem wearing the clothes they bring out now 10 years from now.
