^^^^ @RFX knows what's up and I wasn't referring to Balenciaga's clothes only them making a size 48 sneakers. I like the feathered response. :lol: I'm just glad some people know the real.

Heading on a fairly long trip tp LA and bringing 4 pairs of sneakers... HOW DO I PACK THEM! PLEASE HELP!

What do you mean how do you pack them?  Do these shoes have any special needs or requirements?  Why can't you just pack them in their dust bags?

If you're flying and planning to check in your luggage, I would suggest carrying on or wearing your expensive shoes… just in case anything happens to your luggage.

It's quite simple my young lad. First you will need a suit case preferably one that you can roll. Always important to fold a layer of clothes to make a base in your suitcase. Being as though this is the high end thread your shoes have dust bags, if so put them in the dust bags like how you place them in the shoe box in the suit case. Depending on the size of the suit case and your shoe size you should be able to fit all 4 side by side making the shape of a rectangle. Then you want to fill the left over space with other clothes. Be sure to put another layer of clothes over the shoes so that acts as padding to keep your shoes protected. That there is how you pack shoes. Or if you have around $70 you can just buy Mayor's Flud Sneaker Travel bag.

I think the key for these kinds of brands is not to fall in love with the three-point shot.

The trrends set by those like Jay are fickle and fleeting. So, ride that wave while it's breaking, but don't shift your business in a way that you overly pander to it and rely on it too much, because no matter what, it won't be there for long (and the more you try to cultivate it, the quicker it will recede). And, when you overcompensate in that direction, you risk alienating your core audience, who you need after the hype-chasers move on to the next thing. Lots of brands takle missteps when they start believing their own hype.

Thanks Hennessy they are my AVI i hate to sell them but i have given up on the hunt. I guess they were more limited than i expected.
 
Contrary to much popular belief.. celebs actually devalue brands these days except a very select few. (IE David Beckham, Kanye West, Pharell, ETC)
Its actually the noncelebs, socialites and regular people that keep brands afloat and usually are better dressed and more stylish. Celebs kill brands lol

Honestly, these brands only interest me from business, branding, marketing, and sociological standpoints.

I think almost all the shoes posted in this thread are horrifically ugly. I don't spam the thread posting those kinds of opinions because there's really no value in that. But, when the thread touches on the topics pertaining to these brands on which I have opinions that can contribute to healthy discourse, then I'm eager to chime in.

So, this is no different than the pedestrian sneaker threads. Some people only care about the shoes, other people care about these things on deeper levels.

Culture, art, and fashion arereally only as valuable/interesting as the discourse they generate. Without the broader discussion, this thread and whole forum is literally a worthless homage to conspicuous consumption.

One of these days I'll catch it on sale in one of these webstores, I've always been a few hours slow in most cases.
