Had my eye on the Lambskin Lanvin high tops since they dropped and finally picked them up. Missed out on black low MMM and Lanvin captoes for around $120-130 by a few seconds :smh:

700

Got these ds for 390$ shipped. Really happy with how they look on foot

Post some on feet pics if you get a chance, considering copping this colorway.

Do they look very shiny/metallic in person or do the pics just make them look like that?

Well, ordered me the gray Margiela Futures. Really liked the Bronze ones as well, but I can't find any on feet pics. Made of vinyl which also makes me question their durability.

LMAO. Givenchy is now jumping on the Royal 1s CW bandwagon after seeing SLP's success with it.

Certified basura. :smh: And the high end brands are supposed to be the innovators and trend setters, yeah right. But just curious how do they feel on foot, they seem really bulky and heavy.

Problem is that they cost significantly more than the SLP... Yet they don't look better. I actually think their white ones look much cleaner/attractive.

Can def agree on the price point, but y'know. Givenchy hype, so it's understandable. Deal breaker for me would be if its actually comfortable or not.

You keep saying this when you know damn well it isn't correct.

Who said these high-end brands are suppose to be innovators anyways? Most designers create from inspirations and fashion is a constant wheel that just goes around and around and trends simply returns and evolves.

To me, Nike, Asics, Adidas, etc... are the ones who are suppose to be innovators with their techs and materials simply because they are performance shoes. The shoes posted here are mainly for walking, hell in Cali, you really drive about 95% of the time and that is why my shoes doesn't get destroyed much.

High-end designers can create and alter existing designs to their liking and according to their vision and if that vision leads them to an original design, then so be it.

You think these designers even come up with these sneaker designs themselves? These guys have other designers and the head designers like Tisci, Wang, Raf, etc... just approves them. This isn't always the case but this is true for majority of the brands. I could see Rick actually designing his shoes from start to end but others, they just give an approval on which are sold to the public.

Stop making up rules.

agree with rfx45 rfx45 brands copy off each other all the time, especially luxury ones. when designers do "innovate" or bring something interesting to the marketplace, if it's successful you'll almost always see other designers incorporate it the next season. probably more so with clothing then shoes but as luxury shoes gain popularity you'll probably see that kind of influence more.

I'm new to seeing how these brands work but even in the past year I've see how the previous seasons pieces influence other designers in the next season

Runners for example, the popularity of Flyknits and retroing older AM1 or Vortex or NB influence has definitely ran rampant recently. If you look at the runway shows, the media and even the models are wearing these runners everywhere.

I guess you can kind of point out that LV kind of started it and them getting sued by NB just made it a bigger draw than it could have ever been?

Every designer had their own runner now, from CP to Raf, from Lanvin to Rick. They put their own twist to it but they are distinctly runner inspired.

lv went overboard with that ripoff. they just put their logo on a pair of nbs

How do Y3 Qasa Racers fit in comparison to Balenciaga Arena/Pleateds? Thanks in advance.

I've noticed people keep asking how so and so fit compared to Arenas. Arenas just run really big, I think most other shoes run about true to size. plus Y-3 comes in US sizes so there shouldn't be too much guess work there. either way Arenas just aren't a good shoe to compare sizing to
