^^^ I can't speak anyone else but I personally never liked Kanye's fashion much. I actually hate him for making "polo's" a trend sinceI've been wearing them since kindergarten. I guess it was bound to happen and it was cool and all but then I started seeing people wearing polo like theywere some baggy shirts, 3-4 times bigger than their size. It looked ridiculous and not only that but then I started getting accused of copying Kanye becausesupposedly that trend started with him.

As for the Dior jeans, Kanye started mentioning it at GQ and said it was one of the best jeans, but before he said that the selvedge/fitted jeans trend hadalready started a year or so. So I believe it wasn't his trend to start, it might have gotten some people into it and start noticing it but StyleForum andMenStyle forums has been on it before Kanye ever was. That's why I made my statement earlier.

As for high-end fashion, I've always been into it, I just never been able to afford it before. I admit, I always took a peak at designers runway shows andtry to imitate the look with cheaper brands. As far as I can remember, I've been a lurker here on NT for years before I even signed up and yes Ihaven't seen much people post high-end shoe threads. However, when I started this thread almost 2 years ago, it wasn't really widely accepted either,as you can see with the couple of ridiculous replies I received. It has warmed up now and people who actually likes and wears these stuff has come out of thewoodwork.

Of course were all influenced somehow, by our parents, stars and such. There's no denying that.

Now see, you have put it nicely and I can respond in a civilized way with a good discussion but if a guy like Dagoldenkids or Jimmyluv comes firing, he shouldexpect to get fire back. We still need to keep some decorum in this thread or this forum whether we agree or disagree. That's all.


EDIT: See the qoute you posted, he said the best are Van Noten, Margiel and McQueen yet no one here really purchases those. If people here were sheeps, thosebrands woul be all over this thread. Also, he even mentioend that Dior has been around and not new which proves my statement earlier. He didn't discover ithimself, jeans enthusiast has been all over them way before he got into them.
 
^^^ Because you made a general accusation which could generally mean it could pertain to everyone in this thread. Let me qoute you saying, "If Kayne westdid not exist what would yall be wearing." You specifically said yall, to me that meant "you all." Plus were all cool with each other here soI'll give them a benefit of a doubt first and if thats their style then cool, it doesn't bother me and I wouldn't point fingers and start anynegative comments. Again, I was just responding to your post.

Basically...and RFX45 if you don't cop because Kanye wears it then what I say does not pertain to you but why are you defending the issue and speaking for everyone else? I mean there is some obvious sheeps here (Air murphy) that is rocking Kayne's full wardrobe...Hes the person that inspired me to make this reply, not anything I seen you in RFX45...

Kanye's full wordrobe? You can see my jeans and shoes. You don't know me and it seems like you're just taking shots in the dark. I'veNEVER seen Kanye wearing those YSL's or any YSL sneakers in general; and Dior denim? don't you realize that there are people besides Kanye who wearDior denim. They're regarded as one of the better raw denim choices, fit and quality wise. I don't understand why you're trying to bringunnecessary drama and arguments into this thread, I haven't done anything to you so just leave me alone. I posted my shoes, didn't brag about myjeans; somebody asked what kind of jeans they were and I answered their question.

Don't bother responding, this is a ******ed argument and I really don't care if somebody on the internet thinks of me as a sheep

Not sure if it's just the store near me or all stores, but the salesman that helps me out at Neimans ruined my nap but then made up for it by telling methat their private night is May 6 with 25% off so you guys may want to inquire with your sales reps as well.

427 with tax. I planned on getting the plain black ones, but the leather seemed really flimsy, which is fine but I'd rather such a high top sneaker be firm.

I've tried the white patent you have, but i can't bear the strange feeling of patent material on my feet.
Btw, do you wear your 19cm Dior oversized ? Because i bought a 19cm recently, i've worn it 10 times, and it's still incredibly tight compared to mycollection of 21cm's
 
since the shoes are patent, the bleeding pretty much rubs right out.
and naw, i sized down 2 on my Diors. they were tight for like a day but they fit perfect after that. Are they made in italy or japan?

I confirmed with my NM sales associate and they are having a sale on May 6th, however, the details are still not confirmed. It could be from 20%-30%off, exclusions aren't posted yet and I'm not sure if it will be for one day only. I'll update you guys with more details as I get more.

I've been on NT since 00', and I've seen plenty-a-flockers over the years.. Word on everything I love I didn't see NOT one dude on here talking about 'Dior' jeans on before Kanye mentioned it.

Before this forum, you would have never seen a "high-end" fashion thread in The General section.. and if a person would have so dared made a "high-end" thread it would've been lack luster because cats was never up on it at the time..

No hate, at all. I am glad dudes is finally stepping their taste in fashion up on here.

I believe at least pertaining to NT's crowd Kanye, and a few other in the lime light artists have the power to kill, or start trends.

Moving forward. Gray jeansare the end-all, be-all right now. Dior pants in general-last year, Dior annihilated the game. Not that they're new, but my favorite designers are Dries Van Noten, Martin Margiela, and Alexander McQueen. They're incredible if you have a surplus of money, but to me the true geniuses of fashion are people like Curtains (the Brooklyn rapper), Chris Julian (owner of Fruition in Vegas), and, of course, Taz Arnold of Sa-Ra. Those three are at the forefront because they mix-and-match vintage and archive pieces to develop their own new styles.

cosign. just out of curiousity how do u guys manage to cop all these high-end shoes. some of you guys seem like its on a monthly basis or whenever you seesomething you like. i know many of you guys are around my age also(21). id bee happy with just a pair of gucci slip-ons

Some people on SF report there is not much difference between a 19cm & a 21cm, but when i look at myself in a mirror, i can immediately recognize a 19 froma 21.
Maybe yours are differently cut, slightly bigger.
Btw, i've bought a new pair DH, SS2008. I haven't seen on the internet tho, i don't know if they're available in america yet. Heidi's cut,but some little details have a change, and a 31 size is know equal to a 32 for the previous model, damn bigger on the waist.
 
saw these on ebay, anyone got info on these? never seen that dust bag before, all my gucci shoes have been in a logod one
